This is the one I've been looking at when it first came out a while ago on the NVX only site.. I got two nvx vad 1000.1s. and they are pretty solid for the vad series line of amps, had them for 4 years and still strong. They do pretty good on a amp dyno, they do around 1150 or more

Nvx has a badass alternative NVX bass remote that you can use with RCAs that has on and off mode and has a voltage screen.... it's pretty cool that you can turn it on and off, although i wish it had a clipping light on it

That simple but effective NVX amp is a big surprise. The Brazilian amp makers keep upping their game each year, and are really adding some good competition and products for car audio. This NVX amp is proof of that. Thanks

On NVX site $214.99, on Amazon was $269.99. Did well over rated power, but not having a clip, power indicator on the bass control was lacking, and so was the efficiency. Over all decent amp, 3.75 of 5. I think the Taramps, Audiopipe, Skar, and a few others are a better overall deal. Great video my man, keep these coming, we need information like this. Your doing us consumers (bassheads) a great service. Thank you sir.

The simplest analogy I tell guys between the full bridge and half bridge amps are... Full bridge amps are like Hondas with big turbos. They make tons of power but are very high strung. Half bridge are like diesel trucks. Their built like tanks and can handle getting dirty.

No clip light on the knob is a bummer but I’m sure a different knob laying around will work since it does have a clip light on the amp like the sfb.

I purchased the same amp and it hook it up to a pair of older subs. It doesn't seem like this amp is much louder than the XAD 11 I figured this would be an improvement over that my mirror doesn't even rattle much maybe I'm expecting too much

Nice amp, I love to see Full Bridge amp designs. They are highly affordable this looks like another soundigital clone. IMO I prefer the Taramps Smart 3k, its in the same price range at $240 you can find it for less sometimes. But it is a tank that produces 3k at both 1 and 2 ohm. They also make a Smart Bass which is geared more for subs and lower ohm loads .5.... I also recommend the HD3k or MD3k from Taramps for super cheap amps that pump out power. You can find them from $160 to $200. Both are full range amps so you can use it for subs until you get more money down the road then switch it to mids and highs as you upgrade. For the 16yr old bass head starting out its an amp I wish I had access to when I was young.

I wish it would tell you what to expect if at 12.3 volts not everyone gets a constant 14 volts. Unless having s high output alternator and extra battery. In their website it does say 1/0 cable is necessary. Did the 1/0 fit easily or did you have to get 1/0 to 4/0 reducer in order to get the 1/0 to work?

@@HifiVega yeah been wanting one. Sometimes I'm cheap though. I want all klein. But I don't use it enough to justify spending that much. Mostly I use my multimeter on my trucks. Every now and then on actual electrical. Like to have Smd stuff just wouldn't use it enough. Back when I was 29 years old sure would've used it a lot. I'm just starting to get back into car audio. Back on the early 2000s I was going pretty good number 1 or 2 on the state in my class. Gotta get back into it.

Being on the fence as pertains to "fullbridge" amps, do you mean it's Brazilian amps you're on the fence about? There's several fullbridge amps that are among the best, going back to at least 1997. Examples include JL Slash Series, Orion, MTX

I ran one for about 7 years with no problem but watching videos on rebuilding subs they're constantly blaming full bridges for damaged coils. I'd like to try a sundown sia or a smart 3. They seem like a great value and (besides how cool big Korean amps look) a smaller footprint would be nice. Being that I rarely drive more than 20 minutes and might crank it up for one song I probably wouldn't have anything to worry about.

They make a cool 2ch, 2k bridged at 2ohm**! How stable could it be? Homeboy said the fan created a hum through output, had to low pass

How would I wire it to 1ohm properly? It was hooked up to a 1ohm pure resistive load. If I hooked it to a 1ohm reactive load the amperage would fluctuate with the impedance curve as the tone played

No clip indicator deal breaker. What do you think of the bully performance slayer 3k build quality? My rzr2500d keeps cutting out. I believe from high voltage from my high output alternator. How would onr fix this. Seems that above 14.7 it cuts out.

It has a clip light on the amp itself but not on the bass knob 😢 The bully slayer looks like a lot of power for the money, but I’ve never had to deal with their customer service and they don’t really have a reputation in the industry so it’s hard to say

I know my 2"NVX vad1000.1s are real solid amps & real good clean power . I know most of the nvx vad series are real good but I heard some issues with the nvx vad 1700.1 with the fan& something else.. I heard that X series 2700.. JADs and BDAs series where supposedly real real good from back in the days and the JADs series had something to do with the Phillips boards.... These new XADs seem nice though.. what do you think about the n-series Ab amps??

I'm gonna pass. But it was interesting, I have multiple vehicles and do need something for the others. I'm on a deaf bonce kick. Maybe crescendo, or possibly budget ds18 mids. Anyway love the reviews and tests keep it up man.

Pardon the amateur question, but this puts out more than I expected and I have never bought an amp that takes larger than 4awg (what my wiring is set up as rn), think I could run 1 or 2ft of 4awg to this thing from 0-4awg distro block?

I think a short run of 4ga would be ok, but you’re probably going to still have some loss of power. 1/0 to 4ga adapters would be my preference though

I dont like the Clipping that it does set for using a 1ohm Dual 8" MJME19RAM8D1 memphis subs I bought. I'm using with an Epicenter Micro. you barely touch the gain on this amp and its outputting so much power. Could it be clipping because the amp cant handle the speakers or the speakers handle the amp. idk if my setup is a reactive 1 ohm setup.

Depends on wether you’re talking about a “Brazilian” style of full bridge or just the design itself. The design it’s self can sound just as good as a half bridge or even class ab in some cases, but imo the some of Brazilian style amps I’ve heard have fell short.

They offer plenty of 2 channels, but you just just wire your subs series/parallel for a 2ohm mono load

I still can't get my head around to full bridge design, I want to because I had a jl500/1 which I loved but since then always ran half bridge the size of a surfboard. I'm more sql type of guy so I want great power with excellent sq even though there subs, but dollar for dollar the full bridge is ?????????

Most of them run half bridge, sundown,dc ,deaf bounce,pride,etc etc there mostly running half bridge. How come sundown are not using there sfb instead of there scv . They mostly use huge cresendo,dc,ds18,ampere audio,incriminating audio, etc etc???????

@@jaysonoliveira4752 almost every company you named does not have an on staff engineer to design amplifiers. Kicker, Mmats, JL Audio and other sell almost exclusively full bridge amps. Most of those companies you named are using half bridge designs because they’re old tried and true designs that have been around forever and don’t require a lot of extra engineering.

I don’t remember what it says in the manual, but I wouldn’t use anything larger than a 200 amp fuse and to be safe probably a 150 amp.
