the thing is that the dessert is empty so he has no sense of speed except the feeling and the speedometer telling him, so when he goes to a city it will be no problem for him and it wont feel slow. because there is object around him and thats what makes a difference.

Actually 7km, if you're assuming uniform acceleration. u = 0 v = 1010 = (5/360)a s = 0.5*at^2 = 0.5v*(5/360) approx 7. If he had maintained a constant speed of 1010 after the acceleration and driven for 50 more seconds he would have covered an additional 14km.

I find from a farther back perspective with foreground and background moving so rapidly because of the camera tracking the car gives a better sense of the speed.

Not yet, as it's only got the jet engine out of a Eurofighter Typhoon in it. Plan is add 1 rocket and hit 800mph then go all in with 3 rockets and a speed of 1050mph

This isn't the only car SSC made. In 1997 the Thrust SSC got the Guinness World Record for the fastest car in the world. It had two jet engines with 55,000 horsepower each and it broke the sound barrier. It went 763 miles per hour (1,228 kph). No one has beaten it since. SSC is attempting to break their own World Land Speed Record with the Bloodhound.

Saju eNTe it’s not a waste, it depends on how you look at it. I have sat with my kids watching this, they are inspired by it, they understand the goal and the challenge. The knowledge gained can go on into other technologies, that’s why we have F1, is it a bunch of blokes with great hair, going fast? Nope, it’s more than that, The knowledge we gain from the research is applied to the wider world and everybody benefits.

I never thought, that car would run that fast. Thrust SSC from 1997 broke once through the sound barrier, seams to me much more efficient, with very low center of gravity. Actually designed like a F1 car. But instead of inlet ducts for the coolers, were inlet ducts for the jet engines. Andy Green drove both of the cars. It would be nice to hear his opinion to this point of view.

That just happens unless you set the shutter speed to match the hertz/refresh rate of the monitor or be scaled in multiples of that rate. That’s why computer monitors always look weird when you snap pictures or especially if you take video.
