My absolute favourite Dr Who score, tremendous atmospheres, doomy, eerie, witty, tranquil and at times very beautiful.That huge intro when followed by that very dark phrase at 0.13 is very prog rock to my ears, but the whole score I think would sound superb if done by an orchestra. My other favourite bits are the superb action theme at 2.01, which falls into lovely chords at 2.31, and best fo all, the trance like broken chords from 6.18 onwards. Absolutely beautiful.

I love this. I hadn't heard this in ages, and yet I still find myself humming it from time to time (along with Mawdryn Undead).

I was always disappointed at the lack of any presence of Paddy Kingsland on these two albums, as he'd already left the Radiophonic Workshop by this time and taken his music with him. Still, thank God for isolated scores on the DVD releases, eh?
