still have mine , bought it new back in the day. nothing to envy to the new bikes with all the electronics going on. has 102000km+ on the clock , ride it almost every day. raw hp for that time :)

Wow that's quite a lot of km for such a sport bike. Nice!! (I owned a 1998 135 hp gsxr for 5.5 years. And only rode 10.000 km... :-) )

Wow very nice! That is awesome. I actually envy bikes from 2002-2007... man those cbr600rr's and early cbr600f4i etc.. can go just as much km's on the odo as yours. Very reliable even daily commutes to work and etc.. also having it stock or at most just a slip on and man i couldn't ask for more 😇😃😃

Same, it was my last bike before I stopped riding 10 years ogo after 25 years of riding all kinds of bikes. It was my last hooligan bike at 40. It was fun, but looking back now, it seems strange. These bikes are no good on any public road. I don't ride anymore and never will. It's way too dangerous.

That's an immaculate example of these bikes, really shows how well the guy took care of it all these years. Hopefully the new owner takes care of it just as good, they're basically an artifact at this point so it'd be a shame not to preserve it
I bought one of these brand new, i put 50K miles on that bike, i loved it so much that i just bought another one, original owner bike, other then a cpl things like aftermarket carbon levers & mirrors its completely original & all stock with only 13k miles 😎

How comfortable are these 600,750, and 1000s compared to newer models bikes? They a lot bigger which seems nice considering I’m 6’4”
@megapet7772 жыл бұрын
I always heard that the older bikes are more comfortable. But if you want maximum comfort get naked bike
@Perception_ Жыл бұрын
I'm about 6´1" and had an R750 -00 and an R1000 K3. There was more room on the K3(you sink more into the bike, unlike the other one you sit more ontop of), but it all also depends on your riding style as well as if you got more height below or above your waist and so on.
@rickyhineman4124 Жыл бұрын
I have a K1 (exact same as the video, just the black/silver version) and I have to admit it sucks for longer rides. As a superbike it gives preference to aerodynamics over rider comfort, so I feel that's to be expected. If you're able to get used to riding so that you rest on the tank and not your arms, that would help during longer rides where you can just cruise (like the highway); but, if you can't do that or don't have the opportunity, like in a stop and go traffic situation, your arms are going to be dying after about an hour or so. Straight arm form also tends to make my back ache in about the same amount of time, but that could just be me and my shitty back, I dunno. As well, I'm about 6' and I find the fit between me and the bike when in aero form (chest on tank, balls of feet on top of pegs, knees tucked and squeezing tank) is pretty tight. So, this makes me feel like if you're taller than me your legs and body are going to get really crammed together when in form, and I can't see that being too comfortable for too long. And either way, if you're taller than me, you'll probably have to adjust the bars to accommodate longer arms. I'm not sure how much adjustment is available; mine seem to be great the way they were when I got the bike, so I never messed with it. TL;DR: they're not uncomfortable to ride in general, but can be if you have to ride too long / in certain riding conditions. If you're fine with going out for a few pulls and heading back home you'll have no problem, but if you want to on longer rides and/or have to contend with lots of traffic, you're not going to have nearly as good of an experience.

I had a Y2K R750 which is pretty much the same bike just with less junk in the trunk. I did like it, but I remember feeling like sitting *_on top_* of a bike and little to hold on to. Even with Stompgrip on that tank, I dunno. it just did not work. Jumping up to a K3 R1000 was an upgrade, but still.... The ergonomics still just did not work for me. PS: That engine though lol
