This is My first video on KZfaq and its all about Planning the model railway.
I've skipped the baseboard step because there are plenty of other videos out there which teach you how to build the baseboards.
I've use the AnyRail software to plan my layout. This is an invaluable tool for all model railway enthusiasts. Its a very easy piece of software to get to know, I just played around with it for a while before really getting to know what it can do. It might take a while to get to know but once you do it’s a brilliant piece of software. Now I love using it.
As you will see from this video and once you’ve settled on a layout for your baseboards, you can print out your layout on a 1:1 scale on A4 sheets to get a feel for how your design will look. Each page on the print out gives you setting out points which can be joined together to form an accurate layout on the baseboards.
Its easy to change any aspect of the layout at this stage and definitely allot cheaper.
