Sir, I have a #Question. I believe, filling up a top-level position with an external candidate is a real problem but promoting a comparatively less qualified internal candidate/employee to the key position sound a bigger risk to me. In this situation, the company is also struggling with succession planning.. What to do! keep vacant for a while & wait to grow internal employees for the key position or hire an external for the time being but for the long run focus more on developing the successor?
