Sorry to say, the set up was very difficult. It doesn’t goes that smooth. I needed almost one our to establish the Bluetooth connection, and now it won’t connect to my Wi-Fi

Have you solved the problems with the Android version? I'm interested on the 600 string, but already found a lot of comments regarding mapping issues on Android devices.

So I saw so many not really good reviews about these lights that make me a little nervous but I just follow all these instructions with my phone and it took me like 30 minutes o less to set them up. My tree looks beautiful. I got the 600 led. The only instruction i did not follow because my phone didn't gave me another option was the 2D i used the 3D because thats what my phone gave me. It was easy and took the mapping to the whole tree so all the lights are Sync. ❤ very happy

I have 2 sets of gen 2 400’s and I can’t connect either. The Bluetooth connects but when it comes to connecting the WiFi it always fails. I tried resetting and but say the same. I did the offline mode and nothing works.

seriously? I post some comments highlighting issues with the 600 LED set and next day you have deleted the video tutorial and re-uploaded it ? Very Very questionable practises. I am giving you the opportunity to resolve the issues or I will need to contact the supplier and upload my own detailed review.

Hi Mihael! 3D mapping is perfect if you have a 360-degree installation, for example for a tree decored on all sides, or columns, and so on. This feature allows you to take multiple shots of the installation, and then our algorithm detects the position of each LED building the real layout on the app, and adapts the effects to move on the entire surface! A word of help for others out there. 1st - Make sure that you have your "Location" turned on on your phone. That setting MUST be turned on. 2nd - If you can NOT connect via Bluetooth, get to the flashing purple light to connect to your WiFi. Do that and then it will connect. At least, that's how it went for my 4 strands. GL to all and I hope this helps others. 😊

OK let me do your job for you and do not remove this as others will waste a lot of time and effort. The solution was the phone used in the mapping. I suspect this is either a problem for Android phones or Samsung phones. Used the daughters Apple phone and it instantly picked everything up on mapping. I also noted she had more features/interactivity on her software. My assumption is that the Android version is not up to scratch. But Android users don't despair as once it is mapped through an Apple you can still do everything else when you use your Android. Have to say when this is working correctly it is Truely amazing. Expensive but it does wow you. Let's hope they last.

Mapping has been absolute garbage with my high end Samsung. App has no logic as to patterns that are impossible to say "this mapping isn't right". Then you get to wait for 3-5 minutes every time it tries to apply the mapping. Lots of effort and the only way I got it to mostly work was to change the phone to 5g wifi while the lights are on 2.4. This is true of the first gen and second gen lights. Unfortunately I don't have an iOS device to validate that it is a bad android app issue or not. The new 3d mapping makes no difference. Even worse with the Curtain mapping. And forget about grouping those as the app only understands grouping in a tree shape. Even if you don't map them so the patterns work (map and it goes to crap), it breaks when you group them.

I followed these instructions and still can't get the lights to pair. Shitty product and Shitty instructions. They will not connect to my wifi I've tried local connection and direct connection norther work.

@Twinkly I figured them out. The problem is in getting to the right color connection link on the strand controller. You have to get to Blue to connect to Bluetooth. You have to get to the light purple light to connect to WiFi. And you MUST have your location on. If you do not put your location on, they'll never connect. So the 1st thing to do is turn on your location. Next get to the flashing Blue light on the line controller to connect to Bluetooth. If the Bluetooth won't connect, get the strand line controller to flash light purple to allow it to connect to your WiFi. THEN connect it to your Bluetooth. It's unfortunate that what should be a simple thing, is a cumbersome process. And after all these years, you think Twinkly would've made this a simpler process. Other than that, once you're connected to the lights, they are absolutely fantastic. So vibrant and beautiful to watch them and all their different effects. I will say, that you should add a Halloween effect, with purple and orange and white twinkle effects throughout the strand. That should be an absolute addition made in your next update. Please do this. It's the only holiday without any effect for it. Thanks.

It is indeed a really simple procedure, you can take a look at the help section on our website, you can find the connection procedure step-by-step, where both the geocoding and the controllers LED statuses, are explained. As for the Halloween effects, you can find some in the explore section of the app, but I'm sure our developers will think of new ones for this year, and remember you can create your own with the FX Wizard, that's one of the feature that makes Twinkly special! Total impossible to pair the device with my android telephone, twinkle is a complete useless piece of junk..... Ive read the instructions, ive googled it and now here on YT to find out how the Biii-----censored---pp it works and it still wont connect.....
