Hello @ryanmckee2089 thanks for the comment and the question. I do not have first hand experience with the regular Savage 64f, but I believe the Precision model has a heavier barrel, which helps the harmonics vibration, thus leading to a more consistent impact point. My 64 Precision performance is just as good as Pablo’s. So I’d say, if you like what you saw in this video, you wouldn’t be disappointed if you get a chance to fire one.

Both Pablo and I love our Savage 64 Precision, as we each own one. So far I have put 15 different types of ammo through mine and it cycles them all. For plinking, it is a great choice. For hunting, I prefer other 22lr rifles I own for the simple reason that the Savage is on the heavier side as compared to some of my other r22 rifles. Hope this helps. @@BackatTheRanchSTX Ended up buying one too, took it to the range and just had the most fun ever. Went through about 300 rounds before my thumb bled ,wimpy I know. Only had a few jams but was using low quality ammo. Ordered a mag loader off Amazon and few extra mags from gunmagwarehouse waiting on those to come in. Such a good purchase and thanks for the info. New to the rifle game, what scope would you recommend?

@@lamardaniels6625 do you have the same “64 Pecision” model? Sorry this one was installed via MLOK, my mistake. The bipod is a Magpul MLOK mount.

I've heard from people that you may need to remove the stock in order to properly install pic rails.

@borealranger9763 it is cool...I was able to buy a few m-loks that convert it to picatinny rails. It is also easy to assemble with just a Allen key.

Hello @rajuncajun1 You can find this Savage at most FFLs in the US for about $280. A google search for savage 64 precision will show you different outlets that offer it. Bipod is another $100 and Scope is another $200... Thanks for watching and commenting.

A good rule of thumb with any new firearm is to clean and oil all moving parts and clean the bare as well. When you say that you had a misfire, I assume you pulled the trigger and nothing happens. If that is the case it could be one of multiple things that went wrong, but I would start with trying a different type of ammunition. 22LR firearms can be finicky sometimes with ammo brands. If it is doing the same thing with at least 3 types of ammo, then try cleaning and oiling all moving parts at the very least. If you continue to have issues then you may have a mechanical issue that needs to be addressed. Keep in mind that it will take a few hundred rounds to break in all moving parts and the barrel. Until then you may encounter a hiccup here and there. I hope this help.
