Great video learning every time I watch. Just added a reverse kit to mine. Got a reverse through Mickeys. They had it off and shipped to me in about 4 days. Pretty easy to put on. Used the online parts diagrams and forums to help figure out where everything went, spacers, thrust washers etc. Only thing is gearing not what I wanted but had to get it together for a trip to Wyoming. Kit came with 23t top gear and 40t bottom gear. I'm thinking I want a 20t top and leave the 40t bottom for higher elevation, 8000-9000ft. I'll change the upper gear next week when I get back. Thanks keep them coming I'm learning :)

Nice. Yeah mickeys is a good shop! Glad youre liking the videos. Next one coming is a complete step by step of track replacement! Will be up in the next few days. FYI. Youll need one gear even number teeth and one gear odd. So 20 and 39 or 41. Or 21 and 40...

@@Fixin2Ride-Official- I read about a guy using 20-40. You dont think that will work in a reverse case can find the top gears easy but bottoms are hard to find used.

To the best of my knowledge, you have to keep them opposite numbered teeth (even + odd) for proper meshing of gears and chain. Even if you look at the reverse chaincase diagrams, the chain goes around and even numbered tooth lower and odd toothed upper. Someone may have done it but its best to stick to the intended design with something of this sort

@@Fixin2Ride-Official- Thanks for the reply Andrew. I think I will follow your advice. I'm thinking of going with a 19t if I can't find a 21t upper. I see alot of guys going with this combo on the zr 600's for higher elevations. I should mention I have a 70p chain and a 72p. I need the 70p if I go to the 19t If i calculated correctly. Thanks for the help.

Nice fix Andrew. How do you like that multimeter? They are definitely worth having when owning any sled or atv. Our season is over, started late but we had about 3-4 weeks of good snow and real cold. Have a good weekend bud.

Thanks Craig. Yeah its good to have a few on hand just in case. Lol. Funny but the most expensive one I have (klein l2000) is junk now. For some reason the ohm testing portion of it measures high and you have hold it there for the ohms to drop and read correct. Yeah our is pretty much done too. Might be able to go waaaay up to the upper western UP but not sure if I want to travel 8+ hr to go sledding for a weekend in less than desireable conditions. Lol. A powder coating customer of mine said that the weather predictors are indicating one more possible polar vortex warm up. Meaning that cold arctic air willl get pushed down to all of us. Pretty nuts that were saying oir season is over in February!? Thanks for watching my friend. Have a great weekend.

Thanks for the video Andrew, I had to replaced my rectifier, also replaced the voltage regulator but am blowing bulbs now. Could there be an issue with the VR I replaced? Thnx in advance.

Glad to help. Yes blowing bulbs means VR is allowing too much voltage. Dim would be not enough.

@@Fixin2Ride-Official- so even though I replaced it with new one already, could i have just gotten a bad one?

Its possible. Especially if its an aftermarket. Like Caltric.

You can check the voltage at the socket while the sled is idling and that will tell you.
