Apart from whacking on some Basilicanum Grey over the aluminum, I would say that there isn't much extra that needs to be done on these. They look excellent and are more than tabletop ready. Nice work!!

Love this--it's quick and informative, and gives some really good tips and steps on easily painting up a nice looking model. I look forward to seeing your tutorial on the US models (assuming that video's in the works). :)

Thanks, as i say, just wanted them to look enough like easily identifiable Germans and this was a level that i thought did that 😁👍

Awesome. This will be very useful when my set arrives. About the only thing I'd change is the basing: I see my sentries deployed in urban areas, so asphalt, rubble, etc.

Really appreciate that, thank you. Yeah i thought about doing urban bases, i have been thinking about making a Budapest board for when the future factions (hopefully) come out 👍😁

Hi Martin, great vid as always. I know you mentioned the WW2 caveat on uniforms. The Dark Reaper looks a perfect colour for a luftwaffe field blue uniform. The trousers and jacket would be the same colour. Rattle can for both or the Reaper if you wanted to make them luftwaffe ground defence dudes, not really mixed. As they were also used as guards for POW camps and airbases that colour would be perfect. The aluminium is also probably not a good colour, too bright. The MP40 was black or extremely dark metallic grey. Not a criticism on your work just some shared knowledge. Once again, nice vid. Cheers.

@@7thson726 Hey Martin. No worrIes at all mate. Love your work. Have thoroughly enjoyed all your Pike and Shotte and WotR stuff. Would have been awesome to come meet you before I leave the UK and head back to Canada! 👏

As far as collars and shoulder boards. Black would have been the SS. A green or dark green would be the regular army.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, we'll say they are very dark green, and it's night, and misty 😉

How do you varnish? Do you use an airbrush, etc? Do you use different types? How many coats? Thanks!
@7thson726
@7thson726 Жыл бұрын
I just use a rattlecan of Colour Forge Matr Varnish, one coat (2 or 3 quick sprays) all over the model 👍

Great quick method! I’ve researched uniforms in detail but I’m going to try to keep the 3 ft rule in mind and finish mine quickly. As Rick told Ilsa: “I remember every detail. The Germans wore gray, you wore blue.” I’m lazy enough to note that the Germans quickly scratched or dirtied the sides of their helmets to get rid of those white badges and soon stopped applying them altogether.
