Dude, it’s literally Standard inversions of D major plus G and Bm. I mean do not misunderstand me pls, still a great song, but those chords are very very common.

I think John/s fan base unanimously agrees they want to see him get back to this style. I respect his journey into other blues and country. But this is the style that made his music the soundtrack for so many of our lives.

guess I'm not a part of his fanbase then.. my major complaint is that he doesn't play covered in rain often enough (and it's too short when he does) - back to you would be nice as well... but as for the fanbase - a lot of them would prefer him to get back to where the light is style music. Personally I think most of what he does is great, the only problem is he doesn't mix up the setlists enough in the concert. If you have a copy of the best show of the tour, you don't really need to listen to the other shows and that's a bit sad. Like Barclay's dec 2013 - man what a show.. best slow dancing i've ever heard by far (if you include all the build up to it as well)

95 percent agree, the only 5 percent is that you cant go back in time and hes a grown man now not a 20 something 15 year old like here. i saw him live and silently hoping to hear this song but knowing its too far in the past and he would need whoever the cool black dude is to sing the high part these days lol. didnt happen.
