They certainly surprised me. These have been the most accurate slug to date through my PCPs and the best group achieved was with my Falcon Prairie at 50 yards, and still the best group at 50 yards with any projectile. Four within the length of the .177 Baracuda is beyond me. Shame about the one on the outside, but it still made about a 10mm group overall. You'll have to give them a go. They have performed the best so far.

If its working well through your HW, it should do well through the original Brococks, as they used HW barrels. I will be trying it through my Brocock, Falcon, BSA R10, and custom Retay.

@@airgunsniper-elite7385 that will be good to see. They didn't work that well in my BSA Defiant though. I didn't clean the barrell or lube them so I will try that and have another go with my BSA.

@@andrewmorrissey2423 Yes, most slug manufacturers recommend a barrel clean and lube. Precision Ballistics also suggests 10 shots to lead in. There is also the matter of seating the Slug for barrel alignment, so a lot of factors to effect the final result

@@airgunsniper-elite7385 yeah I have seen that. Luckily with the HW110 they work straight from the magazine no cleaning. They said lube was not needed in these but I will give it a try.

Hello Kim, definitely the most accurate slug so far. Hopefully he'll make some 22 equivalent in the future.

I used some napier power lube. You can buy it as a oil dropper, or spray. I have also used sylicon spray in the past.

Yes, slugs aren't as cheap as a pellet, but a good alternative for long range rabbit shooting. Definitely not your everyday target shooting choices unless money is no option. That is the price of slugs and a determination of what you used them for.

Hello Dave, One thing that you can find with a slug, that you don't get with a pellet is that the slug can slip backwards within the magazine and possibly cause problems. This is because the 0-rings within the magazine has nothing to grip onto. With a pellet it has a head, a waist and a skirt that the 0-ring can grip. Depending on the shape of the slug, and if the slug is lubricated it has nothing to grip onto that can cause problems. I only single shot loaded it to prevent these problems, which I have found with different slugs in the past. That doesn't mean to say that they won't work through a magazine though. It will depend on the rifle, slug and magazine in use. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure, but due to the extra friction of slugs, expect around one or two foot pounds less energy than you get with a pellet. They should be accurate out to 30 yards, though. You could try a cheaper sample pack to find out.

That's the drawback. Each shot needs to count, so rabbits or food on the table is the end result. Pinking and targets are definitely for pellets. Just like full bore firearms
