At long last I unbox and install rear hydraulic remotes on the LX2610. You see the whole process as I "learn by doing"! This is the first step in adding a Top-and-Tilt to the tractor. Includes unboxing, sorting parts, prep, install and follow-up. Part two will include the hydraulic cylinders.

I am not worthy! I am not worthy!! Chris - big respect my friend. You may recall I had the dealer install my remotes (one with a detent and one without) after I got it, and after watching him for a couple of hours while he installed them, I was super glad I paid the money to have him come out and install it. You did great!! CHEERS!!

Gord, I also have a cab on my lx2610. I just looked to see how the fender comes off and I think it is attached to the cab assy. When they installed your remotes how did he get around the fender being in the way?

I'm so happy at the end when you started up your tractor and tried your hydraulic levers that you did not blow out a o-ring in your brand new rear remotes or damage your hydraulic pump By deadheading the system...

I appreciate the concern, however I was more concerned with leaking connections do to installer error. The tractor does have a pressure relief valve to prevent fully deadheading the system...you can hear working in the video. Still, I've already stated that I'm NO expert and so after reading your comments I called my Kubota dealer to confirm, which they did. They assured me that the brief testing performed in the video was not problematic. It seems to me that if every time someone bottomed out their loader valve or three point it blew o-rings it would render these tractors pretty useless. Rest assured though, as someone who bent my tractor in the first 15 seconds I was in the seat (my first video), when I screw it up everyone here will know of my shame! Thanks as always for watching and for the great comments. Merry Christmas!

Great video Chris. The challenge you will have is the LX ROPS tractors use 1/4” quick couplers to make them fit behind the ROPS. Most attachments are 1/2” ISO AG so you will need to make sure to try and find fittings to fit hoses to couplers or get hoses that are 1/4” male quick couplers on one end. The cab version of the LX doesn’t have this challenge as it’s a different kit.

Thanks BuddMan. You are correct. In my case the only thing connected to the rear connectors (for now) is the top (and future tilt) cylinders. When I ordered the top cylinder (video #26) I ordered it with the 1/4" fittings. Now that you mention it though, I don't think I mentioned it in the video. Oh well. Thanks again, Happy Holidays!

I checked on adding another valve to my M6060 but I think it was going to be around $1200 just for the kit. So I didn’t get it. Almost all my hay equipment requires remote hydraulics now. I have a remote valve to add on the Massey Ferguson 245 sometime over the winter. But it will be a simpler job then what you experienced here. Very nice job!

Thanks a lot Ben. It's the usual story, a tedious job the first time, but having done it once I'm pretty sure that (assuming I wasn't trying to film it) I could do it start-to-finish in about an hour. I spent about $1400 for the two valves and lever kits. Not cheap but I count it as a bargain in future time savings!

@watershedoverlook
@watershedoverlook Жыл бұрын
Thanks Lew. I checked out Fit Rite and although I have heard GREAT reviews I'm an impatient person and was put off by the wait. My dealer did quote me a side link (outsourced) but it was over $600. If I can't find a reasonable deal on one I do have a backup plan. Some time ago I replaced the standard side link with the ratcheting one, so worse case I'll purchase a generic hydro cylinder and cut up the original OEM one and weld something up. Time will tell. It's all a mute issue right now until I replenish my tractor piggy bank! 💲😉 Thanks for watching!

@watershedoverlook

That is curious. There is definitely no such instructions or template on mine. Are you installing Kubota OEM remotes on an LX2610? If so, is it a ROPS or cab model? FYI, once I committed to removing it, my only real issue with the fender was getting the holes lined up when I re-mounted the it. That is the million dollar question, Billy. The cab model extends the connectors out further via hoses.
