Rodney English, Calvin Talford and the 14th-seeded upset-minded East Tennessee State Buccaneers, take on the Fab Five and the sixth-seeded Michigan Wolverines in the second round of the NCAA Southeast Regional.
Game played on Sunday, March 22, 1992 at The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia.

Webber was a poor FT shooter well into his pro career. After he went to Sacramento, he enlisted his younger brother David to help him with his form. As a reward, he gave David a Range Rover, which we used to see around Central Michigan University's campus.

Packer always talked about the bizarre nature of Webbers ft shooting, using mainly his wrists.

So poor he shot 2-10 in game 7 of western conference finals vs Lakers. Kobe and Shaq first title. King shot 16-30 in a 1 point loss. Then next year blazers choked giving Lakers 2nd gift. A title they were given.

They where just that the following season (1993)! Had they played to their capability in which they'd been playing leading up to the final against Carolina, the Fab Five would have blown the Tar Holes out of the Superdome! Michigan should have won that game by at least 10-15 points!

Completely left Carolina off the proverbial hook! The '93 Michigan edition not only one of the five best to never win it, but also, in my mind, the biggest disappointment! Jalen Rose has repeated over and over through the years "that was ours to win and we gave it away"!

Add Houston in 80s. Depaul 79 80 81. Maryland in 73 74 was 27-3 lost 2 times to NC State by 2 and 1. Then lost in ACC title game 104-102 in 2ot. Didn't make tourney. State went unbeaten. They had 6'11 McMillian, 6'10 len Elmore and All American guard John Lucas. Illinois in 89 and 2005. Syracuse from 87 to 92. 89 they played Illinois in regional finals. Both teams loaded. 10 pros between them.

First year I watched basketball when no was 12/13! Remember it like yesterday. College basketball is lame now no where near the level it was back then when guys played 4 years together!
