This was one of the songs my grandmother would start singing in the mornings when I was a little girl and then we’d join her for morning devotions. Oh mama…. I hope that she’ll be in the first resurrection, when Jesus returns and calls her name 😢

My grandmother did the same. She woke us up at 5 a.m. every morning to have family devotion. As kids, sometimes we sleep through the entire thing but we were always present. I treasure those memories and miss my grandma.

Our Mighty Father, I would like to petition your throne of grace, not because I am worthy but because you are ever ready to receive us. I would like to thank you for this precious sister, Sis @Mweene Mimba. I pray you give her an extra retinue of your heavenly angels. Protect her and guide her into all truth. Amen! God does indeed loves us but we don't have to remain sinners/in sin. 1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us. How? Romans 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. Without strength means without Christ/God. Ephesians 2:12-13 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Blood of Christ represents life of Christ. Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Conclusion: Christ died to TAKE AWAY our sins. Message of hope for all who believe. Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Amen amen. The most beautiful and a present truth filled song I've seen on KZfaq in a while. Not many folks may like it coz the world around us is filled with errors, the wine of Babylon, but that does not lessen the power of this song. Amen amen.

Nice rendition. Just a small correction, 'Lord in the Morning' is a Congregational hymn, written by Isaac Watts in 1719. It is also in the Methodist Hymnal. The SDA can borrow it; but it is not actually an "SDA Hymn".

Yes you’re right @Andrew McLaren. The hymn wasn’t written by an Adventist. I’m currently singing the entire SDA hymnal and it happens to be number 39 in the hymnal. I should have stated 39 SDA hymnal. Thank you for listening. Blessings to you.

Nice hymn, but our hymnal needs to be transpose to lower keys to make it vocal chord friendly

Blessings to you @calvin mariano, I have thought the same thing many times. I guess this was a comfortable vocal range for those living before us. We just tried to remain true to the hymnal to ensure that we properly represents the gift we were blessed with in it.
