Your analogy of making tea is going to stay with me for a long while. Thank you so very much. I struggle with my daily prayer life and that example really hit home. Your whole reflection was inspiring and meaningful as I love this Chapter of John’s Gospel but I’m especially grateful for the tea analogy. God bless you.

lord i thank you for another given by our savior Jesus christ and for this glorious prayer from Canon Leonard Hamlin to day is a God's blessings for me i had eye cataract surgery 🙏 earlier today and i will be in closed doors in our house for a few more days every 🙏 thing God's name my lord always 🙏 gives me success and my surgery was very well done by the guidance of God i will always trust and have faith in God and with these daily morning 🌄 🙏 prayers ❤️ 💙 🙏 i will be going in the right ✅️ direction to all continue 🙏 ❤️ 🙌 ♥️ to share love ❤️ kindness ❤️ compassion and be ✅️ righteousness to each amen

Sometimes things just happen to prepare one for receiving The Word, a homily and lessons as deep and meaningful as this one from you, dear Rev. Canon Hamlin. Earlier today I received an email from a friend who, in sharing his burdens, gave me an opportunity to offer him words of comfort, understanding and hope. Afterwards, I took a little time out to listen to the uplifting music of Rickie Byars Beckwith ("Oyaheya", "Do You Wanna Know the Way?" "The Land of I Am"). I prepared a cup of Red Rose tea with my customary two tea bags because I like my tea strong and sweet. Then I sat down and was so touched by the entirety of this prayer service, and how congruent it was with my experiences, that I played it three times over. Perhaps for the Trinity? I steeped myself in it in all likelihood because the messages are so powerful. Accordingly, my day has taken on a different spin. I pray that my friends will remember in times of trouble that the best friend they could ever have is Jesus - the Way, the Truth and the Life. Thank you and Amen.

I am the Way the truth and the life. I'm like Thomas who said "Lord, we do not know where you are going, how can we know the way?" It's always been hard for me to "follow" Jesus. Follow in what manner? By His example? Is it literally a "following"? Anyway Canon Leonard I always enjoy your morning prayers, and yes as always, I will join you in the Lord's prayer. Amen.
