its really a good lecture by prashanth bharadwaj......i didn't know about line balacing.....after this lecture i know much more than earlier once...

Thank you so much. What a wonderful and easy method of balancing.❤

You made line balancing so easy tysm :)

I am very confused Cycle time is very confusing At one time it is time spend in each workstations but while calculating desired output it is like total time taken by all workstations not individual.

Thank you sir .A crystal clear explanation.

thanks for the explanation, would never have got this on my own

In work station 4 you assigned J instead of H. H had higher task time of 5 mins compared to J which had 4 mins. Why? In the end idle time would have remained 20 mins.

good video... do you have real life examples?

It was very good video. can any1 kindly tell the different heuristics to solve assembly line balancing problem? Or any text book or something wherein i can know the different heuristics.

5 SECONDS IN THE VIDEO AND I INSTANTLY SUBSCRIBED BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY THAT I SAW IN YOUR VIDEO.

can you please tell us which heuristic was used to solve the example ??
@MayankShrivastava07 жыл бұрын
kilbridge and wester method
@danielgrobbelaar96725 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the Kilbridge and Wester method, he just skipped the step of dividing the system into columns.
@abdullatifalsaleh22018 жыл бұрын
What is the name of the method you used in the video?
@JohnnyPlayGeetar7 жыл бұрын
PERT chart
@danielgrobbelaar96725 жыл бұрын
That is not a PERT chart. The heuristic used is called the Kilbridge and Wester method.

Hi prashant....What is the procedure to solve line balancing problem using least number of predecessor rule
@Vishnu_reddy975 жыл бұрын
ow does the actual number of workstations required by this design compare to its theoretical minimum number of workstations? what does it means
@danielgrobbelaar96725 жыл бұрын
The theoretical number of workstations do not account for the precedence constraints, and would only work in an ideal environment in which you have full utilization of all stations (so the sum of the task times in each station would equal the cycle time)

the computation of efficiency seems wrong, you should consider the idle time.
@ksojoel11 ай бұрын
i think it is considering the idle time, if you look it's like calculating this way: efficiency = (90 - idle time)/90
