These are strictly padlocks with more variety as I begin to release the entire guide. Once you have successfully completed the No. 5 locks we will start moving into more unique locks that may be harder to come by but offer a significant increase in knowledge and skill progression.
****Note: This is truly for beginners and the next phase of difficulties include different pick sizes, lock types and everything in between.

I just received both of those locks from Amazon yesterday. Both of them are on Art of lockpicking website as part of nine Progressive locks to learn how to pick. All nine of them shipped are just barely under $100. Now to get some picks....

I've been working on it for a week or two and still haven't gotten it open. Just picking it up, spending a few minutes on it, then coming back later. I got the 55/40 opened first try in a minute or two, but this guy is proving more challenging.

@@jamesoxford4260 James, I have totally destroyed an 80, the key doesnt hardly even work in it anymore. It is so dug out, and it claimed pick after pick after pick after pick. Far more than the lock, or opening it, was worth. I will be showcasing that it in the near future as I begin The Rematch. I've already purchased a new one but I haven't even opened it up yet. I'm working on my last shelves, finally committing on which way to build them, and then I will be so happy to have my locklab back again. I wish you luck in your attempts as this lock dealt me my first absolute and total defeat.

@@RASAllusion nice =D I've got an 80 here, and an American 1100 that I ordered at the same time as the 64/50, but I think it will be a while til I get to those; right now a Master 150 and the 64/50 are my goal.

Agreed! I ended up purchasing a fist full of them to practice on to sub out some of my American series 1100's. Have you had any luck with 75IB/50's? Dimple

Very nicely picked my friend glad to see some picking from you, if i have to be honnest All those reviews are getting Borring (at least for me) but many like Them and that is fine and i still watch and say what i think and it is not because the videos are bad or anything but just that IT is the same tools over and over again on diffrent channels once it have been reviewed one time the fun is pretty much over but Then again that may just be me

Okay folks, I need some guidance from the lock Pickers out there. The big question is left hand versus right hand. I don't have any picks yet but I do have a bucket of locks to attack. My first picks are on the way. I do tend to excel to the top n'th degree at every endeavor I approach. I want to know what hand I should hold a pick in. I write with and use a soldering iron and hammer with my left hand. All other tools including a skill saw, drill, wrench sets, Precision pliers, screwdrivers etc are with my right hand. How do you suggest I approach lockpicking for the most feedback? Am I left or right?

Lockpicking is a very nice Sport. But I think I don’t have the money for all that locks.

You can buy repinable practice lock which can be repined after each pick

I saw Made in China on the back of the packet, I was hoping my 72/40 was also made in Germany but couldn't find any details on the box of where it was actually made. Little sad to see that but many manufacturers are doing the same thing, outsourcing production. ABUS still has that quality, function and security of a German designed lock though but at an affordable price. In my opinion it's a fair trade off 👍😀 Great video my friend.

That was a huge letdown as well. They are in fact made in china
