Today we will spend the night in a trailer in the winter pry minus 11 degrees. I would like to check the difference between propane and butane gas and pure butane. We chose a place on the hill above the Vistula reservoir where it always blows. We have connected a trailer to a Volvo with four-wheel drive. 4X4 We had a problem pulling the trailer under the icy mountain. We had to use the mover when the trailer blocked the road with the rear supports. Then the trailer hung on the curb. We made a road out of stones but unfortunately it did not give the desired effect. It turned out that Volvo drove along with the trailer, and Fiat Doblo could not do without a trailer. On the spot, it turned out that the playground was knocked down by the wind. After 1.5 hours of heating propane with butane I reached 6 degrees. After 4 hours I stated that I exchange cylinders for pure propane. Closing the blinds resulted in faster heating of the trailer. After 1.5 hours, I reached 20 degrees inside the trailer. But I could not reach a higher temperature, and I warmed up to the maximum. So it seems that the temperature -10 is borderline for the trailer. Ola and Piotr were warm. I used up to 3kg of gas for 12 hours, so the 11kg bottle should last for 48 hours or 2 days. In the propane butane bottle there was 3kg of gas which could not be burned out because of the low temperature. In the morning it turned out that the moisture on the windows froze and a 1cm layer of ice formed. Fiat Doblo froze and no doors would open. With the help of a dryer I was able to defrost the door and enter the car. Pure propane is more expensive by only PLN 3, so it seems to me that it is not worth saving and always buy propane. Is winter caravaning cool? Would you dare to sleep with your family in the freeze in the trailer?
