In this lesson, you will learn how to divide one polynomial by another. This process is called polynomial long division, and it follows a similar procedure to the long division of whole numbers and decimals.
First, we will review how to divide whole numbers, including the concept of a remainder. We will apply these ideas to dividing polynomials using a very similar algorithm. Once we get to the end and have the remainder of the division, we will learn how to write the complete answer as the whole part plus the fractional remainder.
Finally, we will use the answer to check our work using multiplication. This process will be revisited in a future lesson where we use synthetic division to perform the division of polynomials.

Thank you Professor Jason. I can only recall , monomial binomial , and polynomial theory a very long , long time ago. It rings the bell the clarity of your kind instruction and I learned more reviewing the past... How much I liked learning Maths until to this day .. of my 73 years of age.. Again , thanks .. for your kindness , patience , and understanding to make us learn... God bless..Now division and checking of polynomial division is easier with your help...esp. the introduction of ( - ) sign and proceeding to arrive at the lowest remainder..

THE ABSOLUTE BEST TEACHER 🏆 🏆 🏆 * YOU SHOULD RECEIVE A PRESIDENTIAL TEACHING AWARD FROM THE USA PRESIDENT ((maybe not this president2022😉)) Other teachers always skip steps - they figure that you already learned it - then skip it even when it directly applies to the problem at hand. * You, however, never skip and never assume; rather you ingrain the necessary math tools and that is why going through your math course DOESN'T LEAVE ANY LEARNING GAPS like in most other courses. / Just came here to comment as I always watch on a platform where I can not "Like" L O V E all your videos and thank GOD you went into teaching.
