Signal lights were flashing fast after LED upgrade replaced the Flasher Relay and problem was solved.

To others, when I changed the taillights in my '05 Tahoe to LED, I no longer had cruise control. Since we were doing several things to it over the weekend, I didn't notice until heading out of town for a trip that the cruise wasn't working. Tested and changed multiple things and tons of research, 2 months later we figured it out. You need a resistor in each taillight. I also started having issues with Reduced Power. Ended up regrounding 2 grounds under the hood. I think that had to do with changing the brake booster. Hope that info helps someone. ❤

Thanks for checking out the video. The flasher relay was needed when I replaced my front turn signals and DRLs here’s the link www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B082V2FNGS?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title. A lot of people had the taillight issue. When I ordered my taillights I made sure they came with the resistors. A lot of these company do not disclose that when you change your taillights to led taillights without a resistor you lose certain features

Good video my friend. I have been using the same flasher relay since Jan 2023. It is killing my battery. I did a parasitic draw test and pulled every single fuse until I got to the 25A "FLASHER" fuse in the inside door fuse box. That was drawing a parasitic 80mA!!!! You may wish to measure the mA on your 25A "FLASHER" circuit just to see. Not sure what I am going to do because this relay is the only one on Amazon that worked nicely BUT Amazon says it has a high rate of returns. I may order a replacement just to see if it was a fluke, but worried the new one will also drain the battery. 80mA is not a ton BUT I often go days without starting the Tahoe. Tired of keeping my Tahoe on a battery tender out of necessity!

I will definitely have to look into that because I have had issues to where if I didn’t crank it in four or five days I would have to use my jump box. I think the only other option is to pay for some higher priced led that have the relay built into them like Lasfit.

Why is your cluster guage going crazy Did it end up frying out your computer? All the led bulbs etc?

Thanks for checking out the video. If the computer was fried or even the cluster then it wouldn’t show at all on the video. That’s just how it shows on the video. My cluster works perfectly fine LEDs and all

I put led tail light on my 03 Yukon and my cruise control and over haul stoped working can at the same time before rear led tail lights it was working do you think if i buy the relay maybe it can solve the issue please let me know

Thanks for checking out the video. I’m not sure if the would fix your cruise control issue. The only issue I had was the hyper flash, but I will research and see what I can find out for you.

This is what I found some people had the same issue you are having and this is what one person did. (I just had this issue in a 2002 Yukon Denali. 2 6ohm 50 watt resistors 1 spliced inline on each brake wire solved the problem like a charm! Dec 13, 2011) I would say try this and hopefully it fix the problem for you

@@CHEVYLYFEGARAGE appreciate the response. I put in the lm487 in my 05 silverado 2500, but I had lots of problems. Like when I hit the brakes, it lit up all my turn signals. So I’m trying to research the next best way. From what I see, i need the lm487 and two resistors.

@@cebayne if your tail lights did not come with resistors then you would need to add one to each side and it should solve your issue. My taillights already had the resistors wired into them when I brought them.

@@CHEVYLYFEGARAGE well, when i first got it the blinkers were slow so i changed all my bulbs, still slow, wondering if i change the relay could it fix it?

@@luxlime3360 got it, the relay could have went bad then. You don’t have to replace it with the relay I used unless you went with LEDs

@@luxlime3360 if your headlight are LED and your turn signal bulbs are just standard then you should be good with just replacing it with the same one, but if you are looking to go LED turn signals in the future then just go a head and replace it with the one I used because it prevents the hyper flash
