06-11 Honda Civic Any Model Headliner Removal/Replacement

Decided I want to start making my interior look a bit nicer, so in this video we go step by step on how to remove an 8th gen Honda Civic headliner. The reason in which I am removing it is so I can remove the old OEM fabric, then wrap it with some new black suede fabric, and top that off with 300 fiber optic lights/stars. Enjoy fam ;)

I’m having trouble getting out of the pillars. Gonna try tomorrow and let you know if I got it. It’s kinda to late to go back 🥲 I peeled my oem headliner

Question, I have a '13 Honda Civic SI Coupe. The headliner is nearly completely out, but I am having an issue with the middle panels at 5:40. After you unhinge the black part panel enough, how do you get the gray panel above it off? Do you likewise just push the screwdriver under the weather stripping and pull it off? Let me know as soon as possible please, thanks man!

The rear panel also. Just hit it rubber mallet and the push pin will losing and easier to take out as well

Use a rubber mallet to remove the black clips out, just hit right over where the black clip is and it should pop out like all the other ones...

Maaan, Didnt even show how you pulled it out of the car, which is what I was most curious about lol Did you have to remove it through the trunk, or were you able to maneuver it through one of the doors?

@@BillyStocking Billy, I wish you had video for that part of the job -- the actual removal of the headliner out of the car. I have a 2008 Civic 4-door. My local car upholstery pro says he thinks the windshield has to be removed (for an extra $200), but it appears from your video that's not the case. So....out the front passenger door? Rear door? Explain please. Jim

You have to remove the passenger and driver seat to take it out the car
