Thank you, Father, for today's teaching and prayers. May we never forget the champions who have gone ahead of us, who have fought and died to testify to the faith that we get to proclaim....the white robed army of martyrs. May we, may I honor the name of Christ and their bold testimony. Thanks be to God!

Dean Hollerith, thank you for that closing prayer, a beacon for people of all faiths who treat each other with kindness and compassion. These are indeed troubled times. May I add that though the National Cathedral is Episcopalian, our faith as well, it’s thought of as the people’s cathedral for good reason. From California, with affection.

It was many years ago that I visited the cathedral, and I remember feeling about 2 inches tall. But that was a very long time ago, and the same God who has kept me sober for the last 20+ years, has never stopped loving me. I no longer feel quite so small. Thank you Lord, Amen!!+
