A word of caution!...If you are not experienced in brake work...a few tips may help. You will need to push to round piston on the calipers all the way in before the install. You can do this by using a C clamp with the pad in place...tighten the clamp until the piston goes all the way in. The caliper was a tight fit and has to go straight in. With some, you can put in one of the bolts and lever into position...not with this design. I recommend dry fitting without the pads in place to get a feel for the fit. I had to use a plastic dead blow hammer to force the caliper into position. As previously posted, cutting the backing plate off is a bit of a chore. I used a sawzall but a cut off wheel may be better as clearance is limited. The banjo bolt / line connection should be on the bottom when you install. Wear safety goggles when cutting because shavings are going to fly. I also used canned air to blow out openings where bolts are threaded. This was a bit of work but the drum brake design is horrible...will never try to install those again.

I need this adapter set. Looks dope asf and easy. I have an 07 nbs and wanna do this as I hate drums. I don't tow more than 6k so this would be beneficial as its easier to change rotors than drums

i just installed my kit and i can’t get the brake fluid to reach the calipers any ideas what the issue might be ? i installed everything correctly but i didn’t modify my valve body could it be the issue ? i opened the brake line located on the rear axle and no fluid was coming out

Nice, thanks I just bought an 06 silverado...I didn't know it had drums till today...This showed me EXACTLY why I should NEVER do a change over...:)....F all that stuff!...They're ugly behind the nice wheels but...Meh.

I know I'm way late to this but I have a 2012 Silverado with rear drums and trying to stop this tank is almost impossible with front disc and rear drum !! Can you give me any update on how the braking is now on your truck.

What size are you flange measurements because I have a 1500 Silverado but my axle maybe aftermarket because I think it’s a bigger axle then the required measurements require did you have this issue?

But you end up without parking brake right? I mean almost nobody uses it but is recommended when parked in an up/downhill surface. I wouldn't mind opening the differential cover to take the axles out to make things right and use a proper backing plate.
