@Cameron Hawthorn how tf did he steal his technique? Why are you so overdramatic? I paint wet on wet. Does that mean I also stole his technique? He credited bill in multiple episodes. And almost all of the episodes of s1 and s2 bob credits bill. Stop causing drama for no reason. We love both bill and bob

As times changed Ross refined the Alexander technique, along with some of the tools needed to paint the wet on wet technique. If Ross didn’t come along and get the perfect teacher “Bill Alexander” Alexander probably would have been forgotten about! People need to thank Ross for keeping Alexander’s legacy going! Yes Bob had different techniques, but times were changing, and Ross grabbed it! Alexander passed the brush to Ross to keep it going! I grew up watching Bill Alexander painting when I was very young and continued watching Bob Ross until the last episode! I still watch both on KZfaq! Both fantastic artists!

I used to follow along with Bill on PBS and made some pretty good stuff that still amazes me today. But then they brought on Bob and it just wasn't the same -he was just not nearly as inspirational -more painting for relaxation which was ok if that was what you were looking for. Bill just had a way of talking and of bringing a scene to life with just the right bits of color and highlights that I have not seen anywhere else "fire in"
@MarsFranke2 жыл бұрын
You can see, that Bob Ross' show was more produced as a "selling product" and Bob even said in one of his last shows, that he struggled with the manager /producer, saing "...she is mean". I sometimes had the impression, especially towards the end, that he didn't enjoy it as much anymore and he didn't have the same "fire" like Bill. I stll love them both.

I have climbed a lot of mountains in my life and Bill paints them as good , if not better than anyone else around , including all the modern oil painters . He gives them just the right amount of depth and realism and to think that he fires them onto the canvas so relatively quickly . Goodness knows what he would achieve if he really took his time about it . His style and quick fire method though is just magical . I have a feeling that even Vincent Van Gough would have approved of and loved to have watched this guy paint.

Our membership fees go towards the preservation of Bill’s legacy. Which we continue so you, and others can be inspired and taught by Bill Alexander. Most of the art shows that aired on PBS were produced by PBS and their affiliates. Bill’s shows were produced and paid for by Alexander Art, a private company. We have uploaded several of his shows for free for people to enjoy here.

As a matter of fact, your Bob had to start calling it "liquid white" (Sorry, HHHHHWITE) when presented with legal papers. Bob Ross is a PERFECT example of a CON MAN who stole an idea once he figured no one would notice or care.
