Thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me today. I’m in love with fluid acrylics and I’ve learned so much and yet I have so far to go. I’m so blessed that you are taking this journey with me.
So join me in my art room and Let’s Make a Mess!
ALL MY ART IS AVAILABLE…contact me here…keysdzzz@aol.com with ARTWORK in the subject so I don’t accidentally delete you.
CANVAS SIZE…12x24
COLORS…
Arteza vandyke brown with a burnt sienna
Colour Art persimmon with burnt sienna and lukas vermillion
Liquitex bright olive green with a splash of white
Liquitex Alizarin crimson hue with Quin magenta and a splash of Arteza Bordeaux

PILLOW…PPG Multi-pro interior. Eggshell 47-3110
PM…Behr 8300 (untinted) Minwax polycrylic. Stir this very well but do NOT whip! 2:1
CA (cell activator)
Australian floetrol with Amsterdam Oxide Black 3:1 sometimes 4:1
Australian floetrol with Amsterdam White 3:1.5
Mixing my paints…
I take 3 ounces of the PM and add about a 1 tsp of tube paint. Mix and again do not whip. I continue to add my color until I have the right amount which is about 1 tbs of color. The consistency is something you have to work with and find your own. Mine is like melted ice cream. It’s actually voluptuous if you will. Kind of frothy. If at any point you need to thin I add more polycrylic mixed with water 3:1. Poly to water.
Mixing TLP
I take about 1 tsp of pig aadd 1/8 tsp of whatever gloss/varnish you desire. (More if needed).Then I add the Behr straight from the can. NOT your pre-mixed pouring med

I just found a great tip - cut a piece of silicone to fit your spinner top. Easier clean up and can help your painting not fly off

Such a beautiful piece. However, I was a little confused watching it. I thought you wanted some negative space, but every time you seen it, you made sure to cover it. No matter what, it's a gorgeous piece, although I really liked the negative space in the middle and in the corner.

Yes that clinches it you are hands down my favorite deconstructed bloom artist comma I am absolutely in love with all of your work always excited that's my main passion is this technique starting to get a little better at it but love watching you I'm looking for a big hair dryer I have a travel size 1,000 watt and I am looking for a hair dryer that is perfect for blowing out the blooms if you could let me know I thought I went through your whole description and couldn't find it always completely excited when I see one of your videos come on thank you for the inspiration my friend

This is so cool, Lori! 💖 It looks like a deconstructed bloom, but the linear start makes it much easier than doing separate blooms and stretching it out. Beautiful job and new technique! I love this! ❣

Hi Dawn, thank you so much! For the pillow i want to say 2 cups maybe 3 for this size. 12x24. Keep in mind the more pillow you have down when you spin the more of your bloom will come off. The only paint with floetrol is the cell activator. The black. It’s the last paint i put down. Also if you click on the down arrow i list my recipes.

Beautiful! I'm curious that you don't add anything to thin out your pillow and you describe your paints as "voluptuous", yet there is a considerable amount of paint dripping after you spin. I wouldn't have thought this would be the case.

Hi Anne, thank you so much! The PPG multipro interior Eggshell is rather thin so I let it thicken up with the lid cracked a bit. (Overnight) I do like my paints a bit thicker even though they say they should be thinner than your pillow. With this being said I make sure there is a good amount of pillow on my canvas so when I give it that spinnarooni I know that paint will come off! I hope this makes sense!
@annedoran5469
@annedoran5469 Жыл бұрын
@@artlor2002 Thanks for the prompt reply, that is very helpful. I don't use the PPG and my pillow paint is thicker so I add a little Floetrol to it to Bring it to the consistency of my paints. I think I'm going to try the thicker consistency with my paints though as I love the paintings you make. I'm new to this and your skill level exceeds mine but I think it will be good to experiment.

What is your PM?
@annedoran5469
@annedoran5469 Жыл бұрын
@@artlor2002 I've used several different PMs. More recently I'm using 70% Floetrol and 30% Liquitex Medium added to paint and water if needed for consistency.
@artlor2002
@artlor2002 Жыл бұрын
Gotcha! If you decide to try something else for a change I use Behr 8300 untinted and minwax polycrylic clear semi gloss. 2:1. That’s why mine is frothy or voluptuous. Yours is perfect for Dutch pours. I need a bit thicker for my technique. If you try my recipe remember each paint is different in body. So start with a tsp in 2oz of pm. And make sure all your paints are the same consistency. Let me know if you try it💖
