Hi Kristen! I've been looming for about 20 years, and teach a class at our local senior center. We have a wide variety of loomers, and I like to challenge them to learn more. Some cannot follow a written pattern but produce wonderful simple projects, including hats and scarves for the poor and homeless. I came across these new tutorials and the light went on! I introduced this one to them during class today (we have a big screen tv hooked up to the Internet) and explained that you are taking it back to the very basics so they can watch these between classes and learn more. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to make these wonderful, basic skills tutorials. I've picked up a few things from them, too!

I recently saw a knitting loom and wondered how to use them. So I looked on Pinterest and found your post. Then you tubed you as the KZfaq attached to Pinterest wouldn’t go full screen. Thank you for the advice and lessons.

I've been a self-taught crocheter for many years and always wanted to learn knitting. I tried teaching myself with pretty good results as far as the basics went but holding the needles always seemed so awkward. I felt like I was doing the "Chicken Dance"! 🤓 I gave up & crocheted instead. Years later I tried taking a Community Center knitting class.... Same thing. I could do what I needed to do, but it felt so unnatural. So.... I gave up again. I have now learned that there's a different way to knit that keeps everything close to your hands and doesn't involve throwing the yarn over this way & that. Had I been taught this method (don't know what its name is... American, English, European??), I might have succeeded with knitting. However, I've just now discovered loom knitting and I'm thrilled! I've purchased two round loom sets, one for chunky yarn and one for thinner yarn. I also purchased a flexible loom set consisting of links that fit together to form different loom shapes and sizes. I already had tons of yarn 🧶, so I'm ready. Today I found your channel and I was so happy! This is exactly what I need to begin loom knitting. I don't want to go off half-cocked and have it take longer for me to learn. This looks like so much fun! I know that so very many women, as well as men, have purchased looms during this past year of the pandemic when so many of us have been staying close to home. It's the perfect time to learn a new skill. I can't wait to dig deeper into this and see what I can create. Thanks so much for providing these lessons for us. It's greatly appreciated! This is so helpful, thank you! I learned crochet on KZfaq and have tried knitting with needles, but it feels so unnatural for me. I might try again with better needles eventually, but after watching loom knitting, I can just tell this will feel good for me 👍🏻

Thanks for the great series. The thing I have the most problems with is maintaining proper tension. Is that addressed in this series?

Hi Bob! Thank you so much, I'm so glad it has been helpful. I talk about how to maintain tension better on the uwrap knit video (and I believe on the flat knit) because that one seems to trip people up the most and that includes me! On the video coming out for Lesson 7 Knitting in the Round (March 7, 2020) I address working the ewrap knit in the round later in the vid (see video description for timestamp jump). That one causes the most issues from my experience and observing others over the last 10 years. So yes I am addressing tension as it applies to the lesson at hand and talk about tightness slowly over the series. However later in the series I'll be doing more intentional troubleshooting videos for members. Would you like an entire video dedicated to tension? I figure by that point people will have more knowledge and skills to sit through listening to more problem solving and technique by then. Let me know if there are other skills you'd like to see. Kristen i want to do a baby romper and the one it looks like is the deadpool baby romper YT I cant seem to follow. Could you possibly do this. I am using the all in one loom Cast on 18 stitches and using 1 of the 6 stockinette stitches. Do you have a message center. I just chose this video to talk with you PLEASE THANK YOU HAVE A GREAT WEEK
