To answer your question, the largest recorded number of Jedi at once was 10,000 at the start of the Clone Wars (EU). I’m fairly certain though, given the number of enclaves and temples both EU and Disney Canon *shudders* has, the number during earlier times had to have been in the 10’s if not 100’s of thousands.

Eh, all the tampering and changes with the battle kinda ruined this one. Aside from it not making sense, which I can reconcile, it just felt imbalanced and "off", IMO
