So refreshing to see a normal funeral for such an iconic trailblazing actor that was a true testament to how Mr. Gossett lived his life; may he indeed RIP and forever be with the Lord, Amen.

Seeing his service in this smaller sized Church says a lot about who Lou Gossett was. He didn't need to attend a megachurch. RIH Legend.

I had the distinct honor of meeting Mr. Gossett years ago at J L Hudson's Dept Store where he was having a meet & greet for the African pendant the Muntu. As i approached him, he asked my name & i was so awestruck i couldn't speak so my coworker told him my name. He flashed that bazillion dollar grin, kissed my outstretched hand & told me he was glad to meet me! That hand has never been the same!😂😂😂 He was such a gentleman!!!

I met Mr. Gossett in Los Angeles on Crenshaw & Martin Luther King Blvd at M&M soul food restaurant in the late 90's he was sitting there along eating his food we said hi he spoke he was kind and friendly .If you from LA. you know M&M soul food

I first thought Mr Gossett had passed. Then. When I started watching. I THOUGHT IT WAS TRIBUTE TO HIM NOW. BUT NOW I REALIZE HE PASSED. A GREAT ACTOR AND HUMANITARIAN. RIP Mr. Gossett. Been a fan of this man since I was about 7, 8 yrs. old. Now I'm near 60 yrs. old. Many of y'all may not know this but there was a time you very rarely saw people of color on TV or in movies, so all we had to represent us was Mr. Gossett and a handful of others he always played very wise, or caring, or intelligent roles and he was an excellent actor I didn't know to appreciate Mr. Gossett until I was good and grown. I hadn't seen Mr. Gossett much until he starred in a few Tyler Perry films you talk'n about glad to see that man I near cried. Rest In Peace thank you for the many years of your contributions to the art.
