Shield Bash Paladin Build is going to be my Leveling Starter for Last Epoch 1.1 cycle - I'm sure it will work great in Endgame as well so here is my Step by Step Starter Guide for it.

With all changes in new Last Epoch 1.1 cycle Shield Bash build is a very decent option for Corruption push and I think that it works even better with paladin kit.

For Rive, it's really good to go left side of its tree (Sever -> Bound Weapon -> Foe Cleaver). It gives massive damage with 2-handed weapons, spawns minions for free and has bonuses to ignite (ailments do a lot of damage in early game without much investment)

Yeah, that's a decent option as well, I just don't bother too much with Rive and use it only to health / Last hit stuff since hammers are working alright early on. Cheers!

hello. Thank you for guide. I have one question. When we are no longer using Rive, should we immediately spec out of Time and Faith passives? I noticed they are still allocated all the way up to level 74.

so what do u put into your skill/passive points when leveling? you only mentioned up to lvl 20 what you put into your skills

You can check my Stream on both KZfaq / Twitch for the run - but mostly hammers / rive hits buffs. Cheers!

Any tips for mobility? Also is healing hands needed on your skill bar? Since its automated couldn't it be replaced on the skill bar with Lunge?

You can use Healing Hands as movement skill - great mobility choice.

My plan is to go Forge Guard, use Shield Bash converted to fire and HH with seraph blade so both skills profit from fire and melee dmg. Going for 100% block and about 4000 Block effectiveness should give massive damage and survivability.

I tried a lot of Endgame setups and in all the tests paladin came on top against a FG - however it is still a viable option and should play pretty well, I would recommend to add more Effectiveness tho since in the end game setup I would aim for 6-8k there. see ya on launch!

Yes, I like the FG option as well. This allows you to use Ring of Shields, which together with the Wall of Shields node of SB makes for a lot of AOE damage. Also, auto casting shields of ROS is getting buffed in the FG passive tree.

how did u test that paladin comes on top of forge guard?

Mostly by comparing the LE tools setups in the min maxed versions. Paladin provides about 15-20% more DMG which is crucial for the high corruption push + Aura makes min maxing easier since it can stack a lot of RES out of nothing. A few people on reddit in my build topic retested it and came up with same conclusion. Cheers!

@@ronarray i saw that forge guard has a lot of crit chance, crit multiplier and armour (which is a big defensive tool) on its tree. the mastery gives 35 fire and phys res which should be similar to holy aura. did u consider that already and paladin is still better?

Yeah, Stalwart is worse then 100% Dmg to Fire / Phys - Amount of multiplier is kind of low and Paladin can stack health much easier - you can also pick STR from all 3 classes if you want to since it is early in the passive line. Cheers!

@@ronarray due to ring of shields FG has 12% more block chance and generally more block effectiveness than paladin. isnt the whole dmg coming from block and block effectiveness on shield bash? FG also has 10% DR (walls of solarum) and 15% DoT DR - even 30% if uve used a potion recently (liquid iron).

We are reaching 100% Block chance just fine anyway and FG not providing enough effectiveness compared to final numbers (6-8k). 10% DR is nice but build will be DMG locked since we have crazy survivability already. Aura still provides 25% all elem res / 15% Endurance / 50% phys / 40% crit chance / 15% crit multi / 50% Phys dmg + cleanse - all of that is also doubled when you use it which just provides more DPS. Cheers!

Answered this a few times already - FG is a decent choice but Paladin is a strong option as well, I just don't think that Shield bonus for FG can compensate for the lack of the other DPS bonuses / Aura / and Resistances.
