Input buffering ka matlab hai ki jab hum apna code compiler ke liye dete hain, to compiler ek saath zyada se zyada shabdon ko ek saath nahi padh pata hai. Isliye, hum ek special jagah ka istemal karte hain, jo hum input buffer kehte hain. Samjho jaise ki tum apne dost ko letter likh rahe ho. Lekin tum ek ek shabd likh kar use nahi bhej sakte na? Isliye, tum ek jagah ya ek khali jagah chhodkar jaate ho jismein tum apne sab shabd likh sakte ho. Jab tum pura letter likh leta ho, tabhi tum use apne dost ko bhejte ho, na ki ek ek shabd ko bhejte ho. Input buffer bhi kuch aisa hi kaam karta hai. Jab hum apna code compiler ke liye dete hain, to yeh compiler ek saath zyada se zyada shabdon ko nahi padh sakta. Isliye, input buffer uski madad karta hai. Yeh ek temporary storage ka kaam karta hai jahan compiler kuch shabdon ko ek saath store kar sakta hai. Phir compiler un shabdon ko ek saath padh kar apne kaam ko aage badha sakta hai. Toh input buffer basically compiler ko shabdon ko ek saath padhne mein madad karta hai, jisse uska kaam tez aur aasan ho jata hai.

1. One buffer scheme In this one buffer scheme, only one buffer is used to store the input string. But the problem with this scheme is that if lexeme is very long then it crosses the buffer boundary, to scan rest of the lexeme the buffer has to be refilled, that makes overwriting the first part of lexeme. 2. Two buffer scheme To overcome the problem of one buffer scheme, in this method two buffers are used to store the input string. The first buffer and second buffer are scanned alternately. When end of current buffer is reached the other buffer is filled. The only problem with this method is that if length of the lexeme is longer than length of the buffer then scanning input cannot be scanned completely.

In two buffering we use 2 buffers like for same laxeme and but less space we use both the when 1st buffer is reach eof then 2nd buffer is used and viseversa
