The Tallgeese 1 uses Shell but the Tallgeese 2 has the exact same looking Rifle but it fires Beams. I think in Gundam Breaker if you just tap fire it shoots a shell but if you hold it fires a continuous beam.

Now that I've watched an old clip, it seems that it behaves like both. I think it all comes to the inconsistency of the anime. Besides that, I can't really think of any reasons why a beam gun would need a recoil mechanism. It might have both normal shells and some kind of plasma shells (similar to Star Wars blasters) explaining why sometimes it looks like its firing a big beam.

That's what I was thinking. The Virgo's planet defensors look like they can block most projectile weapons in the AC timeline, so why shouldn't Trieze upgrade the cannon? Plus, the Tallgeese 3 was constructed at the same time and it had a beam cannon. Or yeah, people forgot what weapons each MS carried. That happens.

If the Dobergun had a beam variant, it was *probably* the original version the Tallgeese ran. When the Tallgeese was put into mass production as the scaled down Leo, the Leo didn't have a powerful enough reactor to use such a massive beam weapon, so a shell firing variant was used.

@@GuntPulp To be fair, the MG hasn't aged well in some areas. It's still a fantastic kit don't get me wrong, but I genuinely believe Epyon needs an update in both 1/144 and 1/100 scale.

A RG would definitely interesting. Especially if they go with the EW version to go along with the Wing Zero EW, the whole angel and demon dynamic.

Because whoever came up with those stats was just bad at making reasonable weight stats. Granted, most MS are absurdly light for their size and complexity, given an M1 Abrams is about 54 tons.

While I'm happy for the Leo and the Tallgeese, I'm still waiting for HG releases of the Gundams from the show. We have Wing, we have Wing Zero, but Heavy Arms, Death Scythe, Altron, Sand Rock, Epyon, Tallgeese 1, 2, and 3 all have their kits stuck between 1995-1998 with mostly unpainted plastic and laughable articulation. Knowing our luck, we'll get a Tallgeese III that's P-Bandai.

Jacob Johnston The series is alright to me. At least better than 00. S1 left a bad impression on me. But I really like the designs of Wing's TV MS.

Wing isn't a bad series, but it has a number of issues, like not adequately explaining things. The gundam pilots, for instance, some of them go episodes without it bothering to say who they are, character motivations aren't always well established, and it can be confusing on if Heero and the others are superhuman or not. (Heero literally bends metal bars with his bare hands, and Trowa leaps like 20 feet into the air, Quatre is a psychic). It's a weird show, but I think it succeeds in spite of all that.

I think that third vernier was also on the MG, probably an addition by Katoki. He designed the original, but still spiced up all of the main suits for Endless Waltz/Ver KA designs for the mastergrades.

Arrowdodger I don't think so, the mg pods bottom is a solid piece over a frame, the pettles open as does the top flair when the top come is moved.

BadBatchTGD The 00 kits were the most solid kits before the Unicorn and Tallgeese came around. I have the 00 Gundam and love it. You can attach it's shields the the side skirts and it comes with the parts to make it the Movie 00 with the GN Condensers. More or less if you liked the HG "00 Riser + GN Sword III" then the RG does everything better.

RG strike is flismy and I feel like the HGCE is a better deal. The Freedom is getting there in terms of stability and the gimmick with the wings is totally worth it if you're into the Freedom. Don't have the 00 or SF (and don't plan on getting them)

Well not really. It's more like a redesign of the TV version, much as the MG was. It's derived from an old illustration that included the so-called "Early Type" Gundams: Katoki's Endless Waltz designs adapted to look more like the TV versions. This version of the Tallgeese has a different color scheme (mostly white, with yellow trim, as opposed to the TV version's black-and-white color scheme) and a few significant design changes like the head and dober gun.

I was afraid that I wouldn't like it either, but by the time I finished building it, it had grown on me.

I mean at the end of the day its not something that would make or break a buy for me. If it is a great kit, the shape of the legs wont make the kit bad, just witshed it kept the shape in the series.

You know I understand some people don't like the thick lower legs on this thing - and that's fine of course, but how can you say it's not "accurate"? That is how the Tallgeese legs look in the original art. That's as "accurate" as it gets.

Dániel Deák Titans have much heavier weaponry, barring a few suits that have crazy weapons that can stomp a fleet. The biggest advantage mobile suits have is much higher mobility than your typical titan, or even an imperial knight. That said most mobile suits would crumble like paper in the face of typical titan weaponry, except for the few that have explicitly anti plasma defenses(i-fields). In a straight fight it all relies on the mobile suit taking pot shots while avoiding the titan's weaponry, except for any suits that have actual beam cannons or hyper mega launchers, heck the wing variants have blown colonies. Epyon could possibly beat a titan since it sliced an entire space station, even more for the 00.

Endless Waltz isnt just an OVA and movie dude, Endless Waltz also used the canon Manga designs.

Oh yeah the Glory of Losers. I don't consider it cannon since its a manga retelling the TV based on Endless Waltz and honestly besides it connecting to Endless Waltz, it connects to Frozen Teardrop, which I don't give a dang about (it sounds like fanfic). So honestly, I don't care about that manga since I already have an animated TV series and the Endless Waltz OVA/Movie. It's like saying Gundam: The Origin (manga) is completely cannon or saying that all the Star Wars side stories that were retconned cannon. It's up to the reader/viewer to think its cannon. The manga wasn't really necessary in my opinion. Also Battlefield of the Pacifists wasn't that interesting either so I didn't need it to watch Endless Waltz. I just didn't consider the Endless Waltz mangas cannon and definitely not Frozen Teardrop. I bet more people watched the series and/or Endless Waltz than read these manga. Also I was trying to make a point that I rather see an updated TV version of the mobile suits since we keep getting the "Endless Waltz". If they release a Leo, I wouldn't be surprise to see the Endless Waltz logo slapped on there when there really is no point.
