Lovely Spec, I do agree the doors are bit weak on these composites but nonetheless they are some of the best models on sale.

I've seen many close up pics of this model and its shame to say Autoart has missed the mark, overall quality is below average, no proper engine detail, interior is shocking yet they demand high prices? Nah.

Too much molded plastic to simulate carbon fiber, yes, engine detail is average. As I said in the video, I am modifying this one to send to SHMEE150 in the UK. This is not staying in my collection.

That's a beautiful model. Believe it or not Miasto makes a sharp little 1/18 version of this car for about $15 and it's surprisingly nice especially the paint and the tooling, both are top notch. Even the doors open up correctly which is pretty amazing for under twenty bucks. Of course the interior is cheap and the wing is stuck in the down position, but that's ok for this price point. I got a sharpie and wrote Auto Art on the bottom, hahahahahaha, no I didn't. Bottom line is the Miasto 2017 Ford GT is a proper poor boys way to live the high life with you AA boys.

I'm sorry to disagree with most people over here but composite models look superb. You couldn't tell if they are fully sealed until you open them. No gaps plus amazing paint jobs mean bad ass looking cars.

The Ford GT is one of the most beautiful cars ever made and Autoart hit it out of the park. I have the 1:18 Maisto Exclusive edition 2017 Ford GT which is amazing especially at its orginal retail price point but Autoart is just on a whole other level. Thanks for the video. Subscribed! Also I know Schmee will love it!

@@JonathanMiguelMabini I only have the Maisto one and not the AutoArt version so I couldn't tell you. Sorry. I have only 1 AutoArt model and although it is amazing I could not continue to buy them and stay married.

Rob thank you for the review. I have been shying away from the AUTOart plastic models. I do enjoy the Signature Series much better. However I really like the Ford GT so I will have to bite the bullet and purchase one.

Hi I am a newbie to your channel where is the best place to get model cars from as here in the uk their isn’t any decent shops that have models on display is the GT40 a 1/18 model you are reviewing and what sort of cost will it be

Welcome to the channel, it is the same here in Australia, not any good shops to look at models. I buy most of my models online from Asia, the US and Europe. Try www.BBRmodelstore.com www.Carmodelz.com www.Autoartmodels.com www.Autobarnmodel.com www.CLDC.store www.Unusual43.com or just Google search the model you are after and see what comes up in the search, you will find more model stores that way.

I'm in the UK. Basically everything I order comes from abroad although Brexit may screw that. www.toromtomotorsports.com are my usual go to. But there are plenty in the EU such as CK Models, Modelissimo, Cologne Model cars that are all decent especially if they have a sale on. Ebay is another option although you want to wait until they do one of their 20% off promos

It looks really nice but im not sure its worth the $389.99 AUD that it costs in Australia. The AutoArt A70986 1/18 Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo Light Racing Blue Blue Carbon is even more expensive at $474.99 AUD

Not worth it and I sold this model on. All AUTOart models now for us Aussies are getting up near AUD$500.00 which is a lot compared to the quality that is dropping. It is nearly resin model money (BBR & MR) and they have far superior paint, details, leather base and display case and increase in value more (Usually) I doubt there will be many more AUTOart models that I buy and keep, they are just disappointing and not good value for money!

I agree it is overpriced, but who makes a better Ford GT at any price? I'm currently looking for the best Ford GT available at any price and unfortunately this is the best I can find. So, if you want the best Ford GT available (at this time), then you're stuck with AutoArt because nobody else makes them at this quality, regardless of price.

Okay this is a bit off topic, but do you happen to have any idea how to get authentic detailed blue-prints of certain cars??? It's a hobby of mine to make paper models of certain cars, n getting not enough pictures n info is one of the biggest hurdles in it...

I've never heard anyone pronounce decals like that before (deckels), took me ages to realise what he was saying and im an Australian lol, this guy sounds like a NZ'der from across the pond. Normally people pronounce decals like D'cals

Which ever way I pronounce Decals, people complain and comment I pronounce it wrong. People say that word different around the world. Some say Dek-als, Some say D-cals. English teachers, don't watch my channel LOL

Just about, very little carbon decals, mostly molded plastic to look like carbon. Very Maisto!!!
