Just for your information: Probably the easiest way to get a shulker to the overworld is to put it in a boat, push the boat into the exit portal and destroy the boat with bow or crossbow. This is how it is done in all advancements speedruns.

I think the mod should allow for Wandering Traders to have a chance of spawning with Camels, or the llamas each have a chance to be swapped with a Camel.

You can also just place an activator rail diagonally to the end portal and place slabs so that the only valid bordering space to exit the minecart is in the end portal

Another way to get *invisible potions* is to kill Wandering Traders. Either use a *zombie* to scare them into using one or wait until dusk, then kill them with a looting sword. They have to be _holding_ the item for it to have a chance to drop, like Witches.

I have done the manual farming, I usually do it as insurance, after bringing the shulkers to the overworld, before sending one to bootstrap a shulker farm. The trick is to use splash potions of health to keep the shulkers alive as they hit themselves.

PRO TIPP: You can just use a activator rail to eject the shulker into the portal. Way easier.

here are some ways I know of shulker to overworld :) - piston as explained - shulker in boat, fishing rod the boat into the portal, and then destroy the boat with an arrow (which is what is done in speedruns, as boat+rod is also done for transport from the city) - shulker in minecart, activator rail at same y as the portal and in the corner between 2 bedrock blocks

I think the best way to implement the camels would be for the wandering trader to spawn on sand in a desert biome and have a chance of the llamas being replaced with a camel.

Dude I’m going through something tough right now and watching your videos literally calmed me down when I was shaking from anxiety. This is one of the best series’ I’ve ever watched and I love it so much.

Did you know that the dragon egg can teleport above the lit end portal? I had this happen the other day, and the falling entity got teleported to the overworld. This is how I lost the egg in this world for good - I placed a couple of torches to mark world spawn, so presumably it dropped as item in the spawn chunks and despawned because I did not check there until about an hour afterward. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There is an easy way to implement camels. The wandering trader! :)

To transport the shulker to the overworld, you could also use an activator rail on the same level as the end portals and block off all exit spaces except for one corner that points into a portal

Not sure if you have access to potions yet on skyblock, but splash potions of healing help a lot with manual shulker farming. I did this to get a few backup shulkers in the overworld when I got the How Do We Get Here advancement.

Simple activator rail into one of the left hand diagonal bedrock blocks is all that’s needed no buttons or slabs or iron bars, shulker immediately touches a portal block diagonally when ejected to the right

The shulker cloning feature for casual players; I notice it working when fighting them in the big columns in the end cities, since they randomly shoot themselves a lot there.

For getting camels in skyblock, maybe hitting a mule or llama with lightning? Or maybe something sand or water related?

Getting a shulker to the overworld and into my farm remains the single most aggravating thing I've ever done in minecraft. As a result, my shulker farm has a dozen backup shulkers in minecarts in a separate enclosed space in the nether in case I need to feed them back into the system. Doing the whole thing while invisible is what finally did it. Also, your knowledge of actually playing the game vs all the graduate level engineering you do using the game amuses me. "How do people get just a few shulker shells without a farm? Just go to the end cities I guess?" (For the record, your knowledge of playing the game is still greater than mine... I didn't know you could kill the shulker bullets.)

maybe a skyblock feature could be that if you breed a llama and a horse, you get a camel? obviously doesn't make sense scientifically, but physiologically llamas are a bit like camels in shape and horses are larger like camels so who knows or maybe camels could spawn on haybales in the desert or something like that

Take all the time you need to do an episode my man, I’d rather see you enjoy your time playing rather than “having to get an episode out” for some arbitrary schedule. I’ve watched every episode since the beginning and I always see each episode as a treat when I scroll down my Sub feed.

24:19 tbf casual players usually have more than one shulker to start from. when you have shulker bullets coming from different depths, it's pretty common for one to to hit another

Definitely there isn't an easy way to farm shulkers manually, especially without potions. Probably what I would do is stand in line with a shulker about 4-5 blocks away and then place a block between me and it. Shield also helps to mop up the excess bullets. Otherwise I think the mechanic is pretty fun - one of the more unique kinds of minecraft farms. Looking forwards to seeing what you come up with!

Once again, when the dragon perches, HIT IT IN THE HEAD. It does a LOT more damage than hitting it in the stomach. In order to reach the head without being flung into the air, just sit in the fountain and get as close to the dragons head as possible (without jumping or exiting the fountain) and aim for the head

I’m far from a technical player but do still enjoy redstone and farming on a single player casual level, so kinda glad to hear mango question how the shulker duplication mechanic was supposed to work for such players! Ha x

I think you can use activator rails for the shulker ejection. Run a rail up to the fountain one y-level lower than the portal and block all adjacent ejection spaces. That was he is ejected into the portal and teleports. Last done in 1.19

Put the shulkers in a small channel with slabs. This way he can see you and will fire but the bullets wont travel out and hit him. Before I build my shulker farms I use this setup to get backup shulkers. But the blocks around for teleports are important

If you stand about 6-7 blocks away from the shulker and place a block between you and the shulker, the bullets fly back into it every time. And you can throw splash potions of healing at it every few hits (if you have those ofc)

If you turn on hitboxes you can see that the dragon has a head hitbox which is far less resistant to damage.

I think that you are confusing why the feature of shulker duplication is there. It is there so that shulkers will occasionally duplicate on accident, thereby confusing and delighting casual players, and so that shells are not a finite resource for people willing to design (or just build these days) a farm. I don't think that manual shulker duplication was ever on the devs' minds :)

You can put the shulker into a minecart then drop the minecart into the portal and shoot it from the top with a healing arrow from a crossbow enchanted with the piercing enchantment. That worked for me in 1.19 reliably.

For the building a chunk project that you've been talking about for the last couple episodes, you replace it with grey wool or obsidian

There is a mod called Alex mobs that spawns wandering traders riding elephants. You could spawn them riding camels to get them in sky block.

i remember an old video from Panda4994 where he forced the game to populate the world with a flying machine so that a mob spawner was generated, maybe this is also possible with the desert villages

So, at least personally, the way I get shulkers to hit themselves in survival is just to find a group of them, then just stand behind one of them. Usually I have good enough armor that I can just sit there with some steak and tank the damage from the one shulker while it gets hit by the other ones. It's *very* inefficient, but good enough for my casual use
