Overview of geologic history of New England, North America, Maine over Earth's history. Emphasis is on the last 1.2 Billion years when New England was created. The lecture take the East Coast of the United States through two Wilson Cycles. From the formation of Rodinia, to the Opening of the Iapetus Ocean, to the assembly of Pangaea, to finally the Opening of the Atlantic.

The Why ? Life starts what reason ..Crazy cool stuff ..I have volcanic rock from My childhood Neighborhood plus a 1903 Quarter Playing in a Tadpole potholes at the Ballfield..I recall someone saying it's all volcano rock Underneath us ..But we had clay too
