1/35 WW2 Diorama (Full build with realistic scenery) - Kharkov 43 - The End of the Line - Part 1

A small diorama I've been working which will be representative of the Battle of Kharkov in 1943. This will be a two part series, the first deals with constructing the diorama base and the second will be about adding snow to the scene as well as vehicles and figures
If you're interested in the XPS Insulation foam I use for the building, this is where I get mine 👍

The base materials are DAS Air Dry Clay and garden dirt
All paints used were custom mixes of cheap acrylic craft paints
Vegetation is from Diorama Presepe - www.dioramapre...
Grass Tufts are from Mininatur - www.mininatur....
Static Grass and Applicator from WWS - www.wwscenics....
The rail buffer was 3D printed using a free file from Thingiverse

Terrific video Ian, enjoyed that👍 Loving the buildings facade, plenty work went into all them bricks.... When I saw the railway buffer on your picture, I thought you’ve got the same Miniart one as I have for my next project too.....& then you went & 3D printed it....!!! show us all up 😩😣😁 Fine job on it though. Top work again mate, look forward to the snow arriving 👏🙂

Cheers Simon......I think the 3D printer will come in handy for all sorts of odds and ends.....I'm working on a few things for window and door surrounds at the moment, the idea being to make latex moulds from the 3D prints and cast plaster versions so they look more like stone...its all a WIP at the mo but I think it might turn out ok......i'd recommend getting a printer if you're so inclined, its a useful bit of kit to have in the armoury 👍

I've no idea, lol.......it gets covered with snow in the Part 2 video anyway so I'm sure no one will notice😜

Amazing work as usual! Love the textures of the bricks, concrete and natural terrain. What was in the spray bottle at 21:48? Was it IPA to reduce the surface tension of the diluted white glue?
