1/4 scale DR-1 build

5 жыл бұрынScale build of Fokker DR-1 using Scale Aircraft Drawings, Vol 1 - World War 1
The basic construction in the fuselage is Basswood 1/4" stick and the wings are of Light play built up spares scaled to the actual aircraft and balsa ribs. All control sufaces are cable driven as the real plane and can be controlled from the cockpit. The servos are incorporated out of sight and connected via pull-pull cables to the control quadrants.
The DR-1 is an easy plane to take off and fly but the langs can be pretty tricky and recommended for grass fields as ground loops are common with the tail skid.

A very interesting video of a well constructed model. How did you make the suspension? We need more like this on UTube rather than just a small plane against a grey sky somehwere in the distance....Thanks you very much from France for sharing this.

Nice work. Interesting you went with Lothar's paint scheme. Most folks just paint 'em red cause triplane... I've built a couple of Proctor kits but never covered them. I just can't bare covering up all that detail. Thanks for sharing.
