1.5-Hour Real Time Focus With Me Homeschool Planning Edition | Home Education UK | Pomodoro 25-5

If you're anything like me getting time to sit down and plan out Homeschool/ Home Education life is scarce! Stick me on in the background and we can do this 1.5 hour planning session (with breaks) together. We're using the Pomodoro technique (25 mins on with 5 min breaks)

Hi, you mentioned tuition hub. Does it have lessons for secondary students working towards GCSEs. We have been worried about the future costs of tutors and exam centres. So is this platform is a tutor platform? As we are a working class family we worry about the financial implications of home education in the long run.... do you have more info about the tuition hub how it works exc as their site is undergoing maintenance at the moment? Thanks for your help x

Hi there! Yes, obviously can’t speak for the GCSE lessons myself as my kids are still primate age, but they do offer GCSE/iGCSE sessions. If you go to this page and scroll down to the relevant section it lists all the subjects and days: the2poundtuitionhub.com/ourtimetable/ Lessons happen via zoom either live or pre-recorded and have a teacher for each group session. They also have a really useful Facebook Home Ed page which is worth joining to find out more. I can also recommend the KZfaq channel “Yes, You Can Home Educate”. I believe she has some videos about GCSE’s for home Ed kids you might find useful The financial aspect can be so tricky, especially with multiple kids! Ahh thank you. Bit different, but thought I'd give it a go. SO many not back to school picnics. 😂 They're great. I have an IG but don't really use it; keep thinking of bringing it back, but I find IG hooks me in too much 😱 , not quite found a good balance with it

Ahh that’s great. Tell me about it! Can’t believe I’ve only just got round to sitting down and planning this week. Yes £2 Tuition Hub have a website to sign-up (there is also a £2 Tuition Hub Home Ed Facebook page you can join), 🖥 and The Theatre of Science lady hosts her sessions either on her Facebook page or on KZfaq depending which day you tune into it. 🥽🔬🧪

@nurturingdiscontent I really want to put some videos up about how we do things but just no time. I have been meal planning this week and sorting bills. As for their home Ed I'm thinking getting outdoors every morning for an hour or so rain or shine and we are gonna start doing nature based activities all outside!. We do alot of reading together. I love banjo Robinson definitely sign up for that for my eldest. I like also the national academy free lessons for early years and primary you could check that out. We are a Christian family so we have found some baking activities themed around that so that's cool. I have found that teaching them to clean up and organise the home with me is learning too so we all get stuck in. I find planning out something each day works best for me but I had a go and my mind is so full up. I found meal planning ahead is good and doing research sometimes ahead of time has been valuable. There is so much resources out there isn't there its crazy. Hope your week goes well.

@nurturingdiscontent thanks for sharing also. I'm trying to limit screen time so they watch bbc I player such as world kitchen exc snd we have used bbc teach for their lessons at times. It's also good when your planning and doing course work to use screen time but it's just having that balance I find
