MY IDENTITY IS NOT BEING A MOM oh my gosh YES this is so true!! This is what I had to realize while I was trying to conceive. I am currently a mom now but it is not my purpose and my identity. I am me and that is enough. I’m actually glad I realized that before becoming pregnant. I feel like I needed to learn it myself! It makes your life feel so much more complete

I’ve been TTC for 18 months. I “yes & amen” to the first point. I definitely thought multiple times “I cannot do this any longer.” & yet, here I am. Continuing to fight. Praying for your miracle baby to arrive in Gods perfect timing & hoping that timing is soon 😉🫶🏽

I have had a lot of these same revelations on our journey - one that was particularly helpful that you mentioned and I will go back to is that this won't be my life forever, whether or not I become a mother, I will get over this particularly dark time in my life. I am working hard every day to cherish what I have, especially with my husband.

Hey Rachel, I just wanted to thank you. I really needed to hear everything you said in this video. It's been almost 3 years of ttc and 2 early pregnancy losses for me and it makes me feel isolated sometimes, so I'm so thankful for people like you, who are open about their journey, you make us feel less alone and give us hope.

I pray you get what you are praying for girl. This is as a very great video. I didn’t even click, it just came up next in my videos but I’m so glad heard it. I’m so guilty of putting all these things above God. Exulting other things above Him. So this was such a great reminder. Thank you!

Hello from Singapore! Thank you for your spiritual lessons and sharing this vulnerable journey with us. Indeed God is our prize and we have to find contentment in the blessings that God has already given to us so abundantly already. As a Christian struggling with TTC for the past year, I wanna let you know that your stories have comforted me on many occasions - thank you for being a light for people like us :) God is indeed in control, and his way and timing is perfect, even if we can’t see it yet. Hang in there 🤍

I haven't dealt with infertility personally but I have dealt with child loss with my first pregnancy. I love what you said about looking back at your prayer requests & how your life is today. Now I have a beautiful 2 year old. I'm rooting for you & AJ in this next chapter. I have really been enjoying your videos.

I’ll like to say a prayer for you, my husband and I are trying to conceive as well. Dear Lord God in Heaven, Bless Rachel as I pray for her healthy ovaries and reproductive system overall. Allow her to conceive the next generation of your kingdom here in this world. You said to go forth and be fruitful. So God, I ask this day that You open Rachel’s womb, so that she can bring forth a child and even children. In Jesus heavenly name I pray, Amen. ❤

I always have to remember, life is about the journey not the destination. The quote you posted about tomorrow is perfect. You are young and have a ton of time fertility wise. Enjoy everyday, even though it's been a huge challenge this past year. I truly believe we all have our trials in life to learn and grow. Husbands need to be strong and the rock we rely on during these difficult times. If i'm going through something, I don't want my husband falling apart. I need strength. A.J is doing that for you. 💪 Your faith will get you through and you are surrounded by good friends and family. 😊

One thing I struggle with is the silence around infertility. For miscarriage this is a lot of sympathy and flowers to say sorry and support groups. However for infertility I haven't really opened up to many people as feel like generally only people who have gone through it can relate. My sister in law said she struggled to conceive for 2 years which made me more comfortable to open up to her. Also true that husband's will never get it. Generally they don't get as upset with the process as don't get the constant reminder of a period every month. I am trying to trust god's journey. If conceiving my own child does not work out then maybe adoption is on the cards.

I am two years in, and resonate with a lot of what's said in this video - including the first cycle being REALLY HARD! I've spent over two years focusing on becoming pregnant as quickly as possible, ignoring all other problems in life, including for my husband, that whole time. Only this spring did I have an epiphany and could finally break free from the toxic downward spiral I was in (I was phobic of babies and pregnant women this entire time). I still struggle with feelings of envy though, especially of women younger than me (I'm 33, not old but not young in TTC either), and keep getting struck with "HOW can so many people conceive easily and it doesn't work for me?" But I have to realize they have other struggles and I don't want their lives. And also, I probably *shouldn't* have gotten pregnant in the last two years, because I've learned and grown so much during this time. Just yesterday, after a tough first few days of a new cycle, I realized my comparing myself to others is rooted in self-loathing and self-hate, and this is where I have to focus on healing.

Humans are imperfect and that also goes for being imperfect physically. I agree that if we are infertile, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s for a reason like you said. Sometimes our bodies aren’t perfect and we need help to conceive and that is OKAY 💕 I am so grateful for modern medicine

My husband and I have almost the same story as you guys. You’re handling it a little better than me though haha I’m slowly accepting that I can’t control it and to let the anger/sadness go, but it’s easier said than done. I do appreciate your story because it’s can feel like you’re the only person going through infertility. Hoping we both get our happy endings ❤

We been trying for 6 months and it’s really hurtful when my mom and grandma was saying “oh you will get pregnant your first try because I did”. I didn’t even tell them that we were trying until like 5 months in. Them being so adamant that it will be so easy is really frustrating and my mom bragging that she was super fertile lol because she got pregnant the first try 🤦‍♀️ I just wish she would not make things about herself for once

This is definitely true. I was told to go certain places and judged that I was never faithful to God because I was not able to conceive in our 4 years in marriage. I was hurt for a moment but my faith is stronger than their comments. I have health issues and my husband which they don't know, I strongly believe that if the natural way is not for us, God will open opportunities for us to have it in some other way. I will always pray that your journey will be bless by God and His goodness will shine upon you 🙏🏼

"God is the prize!" That was deep. Thank you for sharing that. What I've learned while still trying to conceive is to look what you CAN change. God has opened our eyes on our diet. We are trying keto/carnivore diet to reduce inflammation in our bodies. We are very hopeful now that we'll conceive on our own but we do have scheduled IVF cycle in October. If we don't conceive by then, we'll do IVF.

On a different TCC journey..We’ve been trying for a year and are 2 miscarriages in (one at 6w and one at 12w). It’s very hard as a Christian to remember to be grateful for where I am. Like you said, God is not a magic genie, and we need to be content in HIS timing. But wow can it be hard at times! Trying to use this season for his glory is one of the hardest things I have had to walk through so far.

It's understandable that fertility treatments can be expensive, but lashing out at someone who's sharing their personal experience may not be the most productive approach. If you're genuinely interested in IVF and can't afford it, consider exploring alternative options through research. There are companies offering fertility benefits (like Starbucks, Tractor Supply, and Lowes), clinics with more affordable rates (CNY), and even medical tourism options. It's worth looking into these possibilities instead of directing anger towards those who've found their own path.
