I just wanted to say thank you so much for making these videos. Your explanation on The Wealth of Nations is so much easier to understand than Adam Smith. You have pretty much saved me for my economics final tomorrow! You are the best!

Thanks for the video! It really is helping me to read and understand the book. English is my second language (though I am pretty fluent), and "Wealth of Nations" is not quite easy to read. After watching your videos, finally, I can understand what is going on in the book. 😊👍

Can someone explain to me why the cost of good isn't a factor of price? Labour, rent, and profit only? What about the value of the good itself?
@NBST285 жыл бұрын
the cost of good is factored into the rent, the price of the area that produces said good

Great videos!!! Can you post some more like this on other books?

Thanks! I really would love to, but until they legalize human cloning unfortunately I can only do one book at a time. The plan is to start a new one when I'm done with this one or when I get a time-turner, whichever comes first.

BookEnds Lol :D This is my first video summary of a book. I am also busy nowadays and my inability to clone or making a time-turner forced me to watch these videos for quenching my thirst of knowing something about economics. I am an engineer and I felt that its a crime to not to educate students about economics during school. #Indian

Yeah, my lack of economics education resulted in what you see before you. I'm really happy you found them helpful :-)

Interesting. It is clear how capitalism doesn’t distinguish itself much from Slavery. Employers get to own employees. I really just see two minor differences: - As opposed to slaves, employees don’t have to live in the house of their master - As opposed to slaves, employees sometimes can choose their master We can call them “employers”, it’s a question of semantics, but Adam Smith’s term was perfect: “Masters”.

Isn't it funny how the revolutionary socialist economies have to put up walls to keep the people in. What were you saying about slavery?
@ChapterbyChapter5 жыл бұрын
The term "Masters" can be used in lots of different ways, the German "Meister" is used to this day to describe a person of authority who teaches people skills
