1 Borzoi, 9 Silken Windhounds go to the beach

Music is Hoedown from Rodeo.
The borzoi is my boy, and 6 Silkens belong to Joyce Chin of Talisman Hounds. The other three were some friend's pups :)

I'm here in 2020, having discovered that there is a genre of KZfaq videos "sighthound owners putting playdates to classical music." Now my favorite KZfaq genre!

I love sight hounds! I have my mind made up on either a borzoi or silken as my first dog. This video just sealed the deal. 😂

@@thornil2231 because a lot of sighthounds cant be trusted off leash because of their impulse control (or lack thereof) around small dogs/animals

INCOMING SIGHTHOUND, TWELVE O' CLOCK! I REPEAT, TWELVE O' CLOCK! Sorry, that was all I could see the dogs thinking about when one of the dogs came after them! On a serious note though, both the borzoi and the Silken Windhounds are such charming breeds! I love them too much, nothing wrong with a mix, but speaking pedigrees, these two are definitely in the top ten! ( ^ v ^ )

My breeder who kept Borzois and Silkens says that Silkens are like smaller Borzois with a bigger brain haha!

Which breed sheds more? Borzoi or Silken Windhound?

Natallii127 it depends! I'd say they are pretty on par with one another but it can be influenced a lot by their pedigree. Males tend to shed a lot less than females. Some drop their coats in fistfuls and some just drop a few hairs at a time. It's nowhere near as much shedding as a husky, for example :)
