Jay pro tip about Reaper in this series: because his lifesteal is treated as a percentage of damage dealt, linear damage buffs boost the healing on a multiplicative scale. Basically 3.5x damage is closer to 12.5x healing because the damage multiplier is reapplied to his self healing AFTER damage is already calculated. You can see it when single shots on tanks regen his entire health bar. A max damage shot is healing him for something like 1250HP. That said, it feels like I’m watching the Doom Slayer shred lesser demons for ammo

each point of damage the reaper does is multiplied by 1,225, and that is what is healed. but if we add the damage then it heals 4.2875 (with 3.5 stats)

@@evanmota8363 Normally Reaper heals for 35% of damage dealt, so if he deals 100 damage he'll heal for 35. Since his damage is tripled though, he'll do 300 damage instead and heal for 105. But the healing itself is *also* tripled, so at 3x stats he'll do 300 damage and heal for 315. (9x healing) Edit: Whoops, didn't see you were referring to the 3.5x matches. Yeah, at 3.5x stats instead of 100 damage/35 healing it'd be 350 damage/428.75 healing.

This was by far the most impressive performance from the bronzes, especially the call to give up on healing and go for utility on supports.

agreed. i played against emongg in a his 1v5 bronzes series when i was still in bronze, and the lifesteal was insane. none of us could live, and our dva was just an ult battery and literally missed their matrix every time he ulted (feels bad man). so the dva was essentially useless. eventually, i started trying to outrange him, but overall the team struggled to beat him. i've learned more now and wish our team had been able to make some of the calls these bronzes made here. great job on their part.

To be fair… He is playing reaper, alone, against multiple ranged and disabling fighters Even if it’s bronze, the result is the same, a definite loss. However, the fact he held his own in the first match is impressive. Props to him for beating the odds

Honestly the sims turrets were pog at times. He died often from stopping to shoot at turrets, but he gets shredded cause he doesn’t get heals from it.

Something Jay never takes into account is that Bronze have the most room for improvement, so over the course of the games they are getting better and learning. The Top500 players are already at the top, and they aren't going to improve much.

Honestly he should've been more aggressive. What I noticed in this series is that Grandmaster players are too used to their own playstyle that they're not capitalizing on the fact that they have insane multipliers. You can clearly see that he pretty much heals to full health just by shooting the tanks 1 or 2 times since he effectively has 9x the healing, yet he still tries to chase healers although they aren't really able to heal anyone since he just 1 shots everything. If he just kept shooting the tanks, his health would always be full while also getting rid of the biggest problem in the enemy team which is damage absorption.

I imagine it's harder for the GM to learn in the match itself compared to us just watching it, but there are some really big misplays you can see with things like him dancing around the sigma shield even though he can nearly one tap it as well as getting punished nearly every time he ulted. I don't know if he thinks it would work because they are bronze but I'm really questioning those extremely obvious fades into ults. I think a 2.5x reaper win is definitely possible, he's just gotta get used to the new stats

Btw he gets more then 3.5 times the healing. Think about it this way, 1 shot does X damage, so now it deals 3.5 times X. But it also usually heals Y out of the damage dealt, so now it heals 3.5 times Y. So acctually he heals 3.5 times 3.5 the normall heals. So in total he heals 12.25 times the normal amoumt, thats why 1 shot heals him for soooo much. Reaper is op in that set up for this reason

yo jay3, you should do another session of this over on twitch, but with 1 top 500 vs 5 top 500s. You could just find a group of 6 top 500s that wanna collab with you, and you all could just take turns being the 1 in the 1v5. And of course, you could be 1 of the people in the group of 6 if you wanted to lol. I feel like you would have a lot more fun with this, since you and some friends could just fuck around and have fun in a call while you're playing. PLUS you could get 6 potential videos out of it ;)

If you gave him 3,5 times the damage AND 3,5 the healing you made a mistake, because 3,5 damage results in 3,5 times the healing in itself and there is no need to increase it even more. If you give him 3,5 the healing from healthpacks its ok, but his selfheal from his primary and his ult need to be adjusted if you give 3,5 times the healing over all!
