1 Button Tank and DPS Macro Setup - SuperMacros in Vanilla WoW 1.12

Күн бұрынA basic setup guide for 1 button tanking and dps macro for Vanilla WoW clients (1.12). For Classic and other WoW xpacs, look into castsequence macros.
***To clarify, THIS IS NOT 1 button press automation. You have to keep pressing the 1 button macro throughout the encounter. It doesn’t run through everything after only one press.
For instance, the first time you press it on a warlock, it’ll cast a curse. Then the second time you press it, it’ll look for a curse and seeing that it already has one, will proceed to cast corruption. Then on third press, it looks for a curse + corruption, and seeing both on the target, will proceed to cast shadow bolt.***
I will add that your dps and tanking will only be as good as your scripts. FurySwipes’ scripts are good but they were meant to optimize his 40m multi boxing team. There is room for improvement - but you can get away with his scripts as is.

To get rid of lua error messages, download ShaguTweaks and hide error messages under Advanced Options:

You should do the following during your recording: Use an addon that displays what skills you use historically (eg GCD History weakaura) so that it is more visible how the macro works and what spells/abilities you cast on every press

@@shaygm Great video, how did you get /assist to work? When I use it it doesn't target unique ids, so it messes up with mobs of the same name.

Keeps spamming general chat with "you have not chosen a raidleader, hit alt-4". Alt 4 does nothing :/ and Im not in a raid, only regular group.

is the hunter macro in this package actually doing a correct autoshot > multishot > autoshot > aimed shot > autoshot rotation?

I am a little confused what the hell this script is doing half the time. I am trying to tank @ level 22 warrior, prot spec'd and it just flips stances. I think this script assumes a lot about your build. I tried to force it to run the tank specific scripts -- /script warrior_tank_single() /script warrior_tank_aoe() -- but it didn't change the behavior.

The customized supermacro addon is included in the addons sections. I changed the link so it goes directly to the supermacro section, though you may have to download the entire file to access them

@@whocaresaboutmyusername22 u only need the super macros addon plus the custom sm_extend file. Hotkeynet is a multi boxing program but you don’t need that to do 1 button macros.

These scripts assume level 60 toons I guess?

It seems to nearly require level 60 characters. I tried with a level 22 warrior, and it just kept flipping between defense and battle stance unless I allowed for rage to pool really high. Single and AOE scripts both did basically the same thing.

SuperMacro + lua scripts were a thing for Vanilla WoW which is 1.12. If you’re on Classic or Retail, I believe they changed the macro system so you’ll have to explore creating castsequence macros.
