I'm in Turkey to see the recent extreme inflation and I'm closely examining the situation. Let's try to find an answer together to the question of whether Turkey will become as bad as Venezuela.
According to the current exchange rate, 1 dollar is equivalent to 27,08₺. (17.08.2023 - 0:00 AM)
This video's research is based on December 2022 and January 2023. Currently, the minimum wage has changed from 5500₺ to 8500₺ and then 11402₺. However, despite Turkey's economy stabilizing and progressing, prices are continuing to rise and people are struggling with this situation.
By the way, Turkey recently changed its name to Türkiye.

It's called Karma or 'the sum of a person's/country's actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as deciding their fate in future' for: - the massacre of over 1,000,000 Armenian Christians - the conversation of the famous Hagia Sophia into a Mosque (a common practice in Islam) - the illegal occupation of Cyprus in 1974 - backtracking on all the advances made by Kamal Ataturk

Real problem is their government I visited turkey few years ago and it's a beautiful country and people are also soo nice but government always seems to push their relegious ideology and trust me it's only good at the individual level. A secular country always going to grow more. I mean look at Saudi Arabia they completely changed their path.

The Turkish Lira is NOT falling because of the interest rate policies of the Turkish President INSTEAD it is falling due to the trade deficit the country has between exports & imports. For the Turkish Lira to revive again the Turkish people will have to reduce their import related purchase & simultaneously increase their exports !!! "Be Turkish, BUY Turkish" policy could save Turkiye from this dire situation.
@MrHellweasel
@MrHellweasel Жыл бұрын
It is ALSO because of the interest rates policies. Low interest rates means people simply do not want to invest in that economy because the returns is generates are lower than somewhere with higher interest rates. No investment = lest demand for currency, less demand for currency = price of currency falls vs other currencies. If you cannot bring in money via trade (hence the deficit) then you should try to make it attractive to invest there (increase interest rates). Can you say that Turkey is attractive to invest in? I can't.

That video is create by a liar! Currently the minimum wage is 8500 TRY, not 5500 try in Turkey for 2023. also rate of dolar is so slow increase at this year. Okay, 1$ is 18-19 lira, thats huge numbers. But so many countries has a huge numbers for dolar exchange. matter is the rate of increase, not how much as much! Example; korea won, russian ruble, czech money, ukrainan grivnas(same situation for before the war), sweden-norway-denmark, serbia, china. so, dollars rate doesnt must to be 1, stability of rate is important than its numbers.
