Magi is someone who guides these kings, their chosen king, to become the best they can become and eventually be that one king. This anime follows Alladin, a special magi. Magi have special powers as well directly related to dungeons and such. I really liked this anime, and I can tell you the second season is much better simply because the main overall story line starts coming together. Season 1 gives a large overview of the hidden main plot.

I've read the manga, haven't seen the anime. It's hard to sum up what it's about because the arcs are all so different but it's a fresh adventure/fantasy following the adventure of the boy Aladdin, one of the world's only three "Magi" born with a strong affinity for magic.
