Could white have been shown Qxd4, winning knight. From there if black plays exd4 then Ne4+ forking king and queen, this exchanging down with white being up a minor piece, better pawn structure and basically no pressure after 0-0 and d3?! (alternatively black merely moves out of check but loses the knight and it's queenside pressuring ways)

Puzzles all the wayyyy I got to 1100 in a month with puzzles Do a few of them everyday and try to look for similar positions in your games

Learn some openings, then when you have a named opening stick with it, see what the advanced players do, if you learn for example the London System starting with d4 you can play the same moves and ideas as a chess grandmaster!

I'm a 600 and I also saw most of them, but it's easier if you aren't actually playing against someone. I know my problem is that I get tunnel vision and can only see like a fourth of the board at the time when I get nervous, so I miss normally easy to see stuff.

@@isaquesevero4369 its really climatic,as they have released a restrain update on human players, climatic update makes more sense atleast to them and there can be a small nuclear update on the asian server as human players are having a quarrel over the terrain.^_^

Levy - this was fantastic. Apart from the clear explanations, I really like the encouragement you offer and the confidence you give. Saying things like "you should be teaching me" or "we'll see you at the Candidates" is great; although it's obviously meant in jest, hearing things like that as a student can really give the serotonin spike that further motivates the learning process. Great stuff.

you're exactly right as it becomes forcing for your opponent to give up the material. if you aren't gaining from taking a pin, adding pressure can often win in situations.

I feel like beginning and end are more formulaic, like the steps are already planned out. Middle game is where the chaos lives. (I also suck at chess, so this might be off the mark, but this is what I see)

For me its different, my middle game and my openings are trash but my endgame is something I'm extremely proud of.
