My dad once got a kebab after work (he had night shifts) and he accidentally fell into a stream because it was really dark but he was holding up the kebabs in the air so they wouldn't get wet, and when he got home he was soaking wet with two kebabs in hands just stood infront of the door. One my favourite memories honestly

Drunk people with food and pints are impressively nimble at saving said food and pints. I remember being out with a few mates when we were in our early 20's and one of their dad was there. He was pissed out of his mind, and fell off his stool. Went flat on his back onto the floor yet didn't spill a single drop of his pint lol.

I mean, more than 7000 have closed in the last 10 years or so. A hell of a lot went during and after Covid as people just didn't bother going out as much. Younger people tend not to drink as much, or at all either and the prices just keep going up and up.

I’m South African and I went to London for the first time in June, when I was there me and my family thought five guys was a fast food place like Mac Donald’s, so we ordered the burgers and when we had to pay it was 50 pounds (R1000). I’ve never regretted something more. Why on earth are they so expensive?

I lived in the UK for 20 years, and I am now in the US... horrific unbelievable hell, crying every day for all of you, I'd give anything for one joke down the pub .... 😢 If an american read your comment, they would say you spelled the US wrong as "us" british would be considered misspelling the "us" british. 😂 it's freedumb! Glad I'm not the only one who got sick from eating too many custard creams. Binge ate a bunch the night before my school's christmas dinner. Got so sick I couldn't go in the next day. The fact I missed out on the chocolate log haunts me to this day; haven't been able to eat one since.

10:30 yes, vinyls have much better sound because the noise is being read from a disk by a needle and picked up by a microphone, especially better bass due to limitations of optical data, and as you say often collectible, but they're delicate, need taking care of, hard to store and if you've got bad speakers/no amp there's probably little difference between a vinyl, cd, spotify etc - though funnily even 90% cassettes sound better through good equipment than a cd

My secondary school had a bag ban - yep, we had to carry everything around all day, or rush to and from our lockers in between lessons and then get told off for being late. I think they were trying to minimise 'traffic jams' in corridors. After a good few years they eventually saw sense and let us carry bags, and then decided to trial a one way system (years before covid). Our next class could be literally next door and there would be teachers guarding the hallways making us walk round the entire block instead. That obviously didn't work either.
