You're confused because of what you've come to learn about the Rapture part. The concept of the Rapture being a secret, where the most worthy are taken away to heaven, and then the 7 year tribulation begins, and the rest of the world is allowed another chance. That is not Biblical. (That is the Hollywood version of Jesus' 2nd coming, but its found no where in the scriptures) When Jesus comes back, the unrighteous are slain by the brightness of His coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8, Psalm 68:2, Isaiah 11:4, Revelation 20:5) - This concept is further explained in how the soldiers at Jesus' tomb were stricken as if dead from the sight of ONE angel. How much more will men quake with fear, when they see ALL the angels of heaven? ( The living righteous are translated into their immortal bodies, (1 John 3:2) and the righteous dead are raised from their graves. (John 5:28) They than both go TOGETHER to meet the Lord in the air. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) After that, the world is left desolate for 1,000 years. (Leviticus 26:34, Micah 7:13, Ezekiel 35:14, Isaiah 11:4, 27:10, Jeremiah 4:25, 25:33) During the 1,000 years, the righteous will be looking over the completed judgment of God, on those who are not there. (1 Corinthians 6:2-3, Revelation 20:4) After the 1,000 years, Jesus and His saints, return to resurrect and judge the wicked. The Holy City comes down from God out of heaven. (Revelation 21:2-3) The devil convinces the wicked who are now resurrected, that they can take the city. ((Revelation 20:5-9) (This shows that their hearts have not changed, and God can do no more for them) This is when Hellfire will rain down from heaven and devour them forever. We are living under the New Convenant which does not negate the importance of the weekly Sabbath. Yes,the law cannot save us,only the blood of Christ can. Please read Galatians 3:26-29 that says we are spiritual Israel. The weekly Sabbath was made for man,not man for the sabbath. Mark 2:27. The sabbath was created at the end of Creation week. Genesis 2:1-3 which cannot be changed, abolished or altered.

@@e2sguy please read Colossians 2:14-17 and read it carefully. These verses deal with the handwriting contained in ordinances. God wrote the Ten commandments with His own finger on two tablets of stones while Moses wrote the ceremonial law which pointed to Christ as the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. The ceremonial law was written on scroll which is parchment and bound in a book which went in pocket on the side of the ark of covenant. While the Ten commandments went inside of the ark of covenant.
