God was so pleased with his request for wisdom which allowed him to be a good king for a moment. This is why society celebrates smart people and why we reward people who have knowledge because our survival depends on their wisdom. Through wisdom comes making great choices, especially when that wisdom is from God, then we know for a fact that this is information that we can trust and it will never have to be “fact checked”. We cannot trust people whose wisdom does not come from God because it will lead to confusion and bad decisions! just how when Satan was in the garden of Eden, and he advised them to eat of the fruit. It caused so much chaos, even up till the book of 1kings, that initial decision to accept wisdom outside of God is something that God is still putting in effort trying to restore and repair his relationship with human beings. I pray we all continue to seek Gods wisdom in all things that we do so that we will not be lead to destruction
