My father had a Ponton in the 60s, also black but glossy. Amazing conversion, and the V8 sound, just amazing. Lovely greetings from Germany to Great Britain

it would be much harder to start this engine without all the original computer harnesses, ABS and all electronic systems. that's why most of such projects use a new interior.

This car is a loaded gun!One of the coolest & sinister cars I've ever seen! Excellent modification, superb sound from the exhausts,the interior is much nicer than the original,the thing i realy don't like at all is the right handed steering wheel.Hope to see it on an open road,or maybe better to a racing track👍...

That engine is a perfect fit for that chassie man.. Absolutly stunning.. and this is the only matt black I accept on a car. And no way it should be glossy.. would take so much away from the car.

V8 Repowered Pontons were a thing in the USA in the 1960's when Herbert and Meek in LA built a lot for well heeled customers .Nothing is new under the sun.

Οld idea.Back to 1993 a guy here in Greece created similar stuff.He took a 180s pick up truck and swamp a modern 1990s engine from 190 mercedes also.He kept the classic exterior .Nothing was visible from outside just 1950s look with a modern engine.
